I almost bought this movie a couple of weeks ago. But a voice in my head told me "No!!!" And clips from the trailer flashed through my mind. I turned away and found another movie. It was probably my guardian angel.

There may have been a worse movie this year.

There may have been a worse written movie.

There may have even been a worse remake/rip-off/sequel... um, though, probably not.

However, Trank has Worst Director absolutely locked up!

It's basically a non-answer that he probably feels he has to say. He's almost surely technically under a contractual agreement to do a sequel if Fox was stupid enough to do one.

Reading the end of Secret Wars a couple of days ago just makes me mad again of how Fox royally screwed the pooch yet again and how they just didn't GET the Fantsstic Four. For all the crap I gave Hickman about his Thanos (although in his defense, he's not alone in that regard), the man knows his FF. "Everyone lives", indeed.

It is how talent is supposed to act. As opposed to how Josh Trank acted. Acting like Trank is a quick path to retirement.

You know what would be interesting? If Marvel cast Jordan as Jim Hammond, the original Torch. He's certainly inhumanly pretty enough to play an android.

Not sure how they'd work the character into the MCU tho. Maybe a subplot on Agent Carter...

"The Synthetic Man" (Torch) was at the Stark Expo in First Avenger, so Agent Carter would be the likely spot for that character. I doubt Marvel would go that direction though. Pretty sure they don't want to remind anyone Fant4stic exists.

If MBJ were to be cast in the MCU I could see him playing Phil Urich. He really is a good actor (ignoring the mess of a film that is Fant4stic), and if they bring Ben Urich's nephew in they should get an actor that can live up to the performance Vondie Curtis-Hall delivered as Ben himself.
