Fant4stic: Reborn! - - - - - - - Part 41

Where have all the FFINO defenders gone, long time passing?
Where have all the FFINO defenders gone, long time ago?
Where have all the FFINO defenders gone?
They saw the crap movie, every one
Oh when will they ever learn?
Oh when will they ever learn?

:funny:

I'm pretty sure Fox will never make another FF film and I'm certain we won't see the cast who got airbrushed out, BUT I'm not really sure if that photo tells us much. Deadpool is part of the X-Men family, so the group shot really shows us the people who may be appearing in various X-Men related films in the coming years. We always knew (though some tried to deny it) that FF can't be used in X-Men films, so they don't really fit.

I haven't changed my mind that I think we'll get an announcement by Comic-Con, but I just don't think this photo has a lot of meaning (or assures us Fox won't re-boot in 5 years).

Fox isn't going to promote anything regarding that film. It would be a constant reminder of a studio failure. They have moved on and will focus on everything X-verse related. They will collect their third place ribbon behind Marvel and DC universes.

All there is now is to await word that this deal was made or Marvel will simply move forward with plans to start using certain characters from the FF property. Hell......I don't even need an announcement...just surprise me with Doom showing up in one of these films.

Its not like Marvel ever actually made an announcement when any of their other film rights have returned, we only know Blade reverted because it was mentioned in passing a couple of years after the reversion had occurred. Although if something were to happen I think we wouldn't have to wait that long, Marvel would want to start using their support characters pretty quickly in other films.

we will know about Fantastic 4 for sure, as soon as it happens i have no doubt about that

It may have already happened or waiting on a specific time and date. Either way I assume they will let the stench of FFINO settle. It certainly wouldn't stop them from beginning use of any supporting character they now have access to.

If Marvel gets F4, believe me, they will announce it! That is a major return, especially for Disney.

I finally watched this piece of crap yesterday on Amazon. Probably the most boring superhero movie of all time.

Marvel did announce Blade as soon as he came home. Warner wanted to focus on their DC properties and no longer needed Blade and he came home at the same time that Ghost Rider and Punisher did because Marvel bought the rights back.

Odds are that either the FF aren't back yet or Marvel are waiting until the right time for an announcement, probably during Comic-Con.

I'm glad they're being nominated, but it would be dumb if they are such a failure that they even fail at winning these awards.

I expect none of the stars will be there to pick them up in person, but they should. It would be their opportunity to finally talk about how bad the film was, just like Halle Berry thanked people for putting her in that piece of **** - Catwoman, which was in fact something she said to that effect.

Just noticed I missed

WORST SCREEN COMBO All Four “Fantastics” / Fantastic Four

They must surely win all categories. Trank should be worst director, not even just for directing the film but all the other stuff he did off set as well.

And he ripped off his own movie Chronicle, and the screenplay was crap too.

Looking at the competition I'm not sure that FF will actually win any, there are a lot of other high profile god awful films in the mix like Fifty Shades and Jupiter Ascending. The highest chance is probably Worst Remake/Rip-Off/Sequel.

And anyone notice for the Worst Director they have it listed as

Josh Trank (& Alan Smithee?) / Fantastic Four

Looks like they have heard the ghost director stories too.

Fifty Shades was still more of a coherent film than FFINO, even though it was boring. And it did a lot better in theatres too.

Well Fantastic Four is a high profile bad movie itself(probably more so than the ones you listed at this point), and of all the nominations it has, I say worst director and worst screen combo are its nominations to lose. I imagine Trank's bts behaviour is well documented and the fact he didn't even finish his own movie is pretty bad on to itself. For worst screen combo, the four are not in it together until like the last 15 to 20 minutes of the film. Ben in his human state never meets Sue, that's dreadful.

Yeah now that I have been thinking the technical and production problems will score it big, the back stage rumours, and the fact that it feels like it was made by two people then stuck together, not even counting that many consider it to be missing an entire act. Many of the other nominees are lazily made or just boring but FF is an actual mess.

The more I think the better chance it has of picking up a couple of Razzies.

And Fifty Shades is still getting a sequel or two because fans demand it.

FFINO is only getting a sequel because Fox demands it. :o

It'll probably win worst reboot and maybe worst director. Other than that, I expect Fifty Shades and Pixels actors to rack up awards.

From a technical/ editing point of view, FFINO is the worst film. At least the others were put together with some semblance of coherence. But best (or worst) picture is usually judged more on subjective merits isn't it? Like whether it moved you, what kind of journey a person had, whether it told a good story etc.

I think the real heavyweight is Pixels. Adam Sandler is like the Tom Hanks of the Razzies. Other than that (or Paul Blart 2), FF has very good chances.

Tobey Kebell, Reg E. Cathey and Tim Blake Nelson should have also been nominated.

If there's any justice, this will sweep all of the Razzies.
