This is the same studio that churned out three back to back horrific Alien films and then went ahead and produced Prometheus, and has now greenlight Prometheus 2 and another Aliens film with a director who last two films bombed.

We can never predict what Fox will do. LOL

But the Aliens franchise at last had a precedent for success in the first two movies, so there's an excuse there to milk the franchise and chase some old glory. FF has NEVER been successful and has ALWAYS been bad when they made it. What's the point of going for a fourth failure?

Sounds like a reporter who MIGHT be more than a little unprofessional may have slammed
Miles Tellar unfairly .

It seems low on quotes as well. Plus, I side-eye the part where she initiates a sexual conversation by talking about boobs and wine-glasses. That doesn't belong in a professional interview. She might have been baiting him.

Yeah baiting and twisting his words. The article just reeks of it.

And Fox own the Alien IP. Plus, Prometheus was a step in the right direction. It may not have been as great as people wanted it to be but it did retcon the AvP films and was a commercial success.

So the only sense we get on their relationship is his brother being horrible to him? And that is where [BLACKOUT]he gets his catch phrase[/BLACKOUT]? I understand why people are taking it that way.

That's not where he gets his catchphrase. Never heard his brother say it.

Once again, older brothers being horrible to little brothers is kind of a fact of life.

I've seen more than one reviewer say it came from his brother, are you sure?

Could be a projecting thing there. Sort of like when reporters claim the ending of the first Spider-Man was changed because of the World Trade Center attacks.

Perfectly honest, I could have missed it, but I don't think he said it. It seemed like Ben said something under his breath. His older brother is like "what did you say?" And starts going toward him like he's going to beat him up. I never heard an utterance of "clobberin time."

I want to think they were smart enough to cut that idea out, but if not...well then the film is even worse than it already was.

Perhaps it happened Josh Trank in his childhood, or that of a close friend or family member he knows. There must be a reason he keeps going back to that motif.

He can go back to it with therapy just leave Benjamin Grimm out of it.

Oh yes, that sounds healthy and normal.

henzINNIT also didn't recall hearing the brother say that line either, so if it's there it probably is subtle (thank Odin).

Remember the Avengers Assemble smash credits gag? They do the same thing here, except it's the team coming up with a name. Ben says, "yeah it's all so fantastic." Light bulb over Reed, he's all like "What did you just say?" "Fantastic." "Yeah that's the ticket we're the F--" smash cut to credits.

We're the what? Failures? Final nail in the coffin for this franchise? Friggin Fox Lame-o's?

Well it's really weird if it isn't there since I've seen at least three different reviewers mention it. I don't even know how that would play out, it's so cheesy.

Oh I've seen it mentioned too. The other night I asked Keyser_Soze if Mathew Buck's tweets (one of which was about the clobbering time line) were accurate and he said that they were, so it seems like there's mixed reports.

Those films arnt really in the same leased scenario though

Honestly, IF they can do it. They should put them in New Mutants.

All terrible ideas from you both... why would anyone want the fantastic four as a lifesaver to attempt tostay afloat while they can sink the xmen right along with them.... their worlds dont mesh well

I never said healthy. Normal...

I take it you never had an older brother?

Its not common actually for brothers to actually beat up their brothers... rough housing, horse play, antagonize, prank, mentally torture, those are common.. but not one big brother beating up a younger one
