This trailer didnt seem to play that well with my Avengers showing.

No one laughed at the intended funny bits, no one really gasped or anything. No response at all really.

Are people normally responsive at your theatre?

Because no one EVER responds to trailers at my local theatre :D.

Any mutterings of "hope the rights revert back to Marvel"?

I mean people laugh or they go like "Oh my God" when something really cool happens in a trailer.

and then of course when it ends there are murmurs of "that looks lame" or "we have to go see that"

Yeah you can always tell the vibe of the theater goers in a crowded theater after a trailer. Excitement or indifference.

Just seen the second trailer. The first was meh. But this one looked good. Quite interested to see what they do with it.

You know what's the most disappointing element of The Thing's look? 5 fingers. Having 4 fingers was always such a cool aspect of his design. Shame they had to get rid of it for the sake of...believability?

But it doesn't make any sense for him to only have 4 fingers.....

exactly.

This was just...silence. I don't think Ive ever seen that before on a movie based on an existing property.

We had the trailers Tomorrow Land, Ant-Man, Jurassic World, Fantastic Four, Masterminds and Southpaw when I watched Age of Ultron. I didn't really hear a pop for any of them.

I guess it depends where you go.

Most of my crowd seemed like mostly college aged/high school kids. There was like a full row of them behind me.

-I didn't hear much reaction to Tomorrowland either except people laughing at the title.
-Ant Man everyone laughed at the Thomas the Tank Engine bit
-Jurassic World everyone went ape s***.
-Terminator Genysis got a pretty good response too.
-Then as I said earlier Fantastic Four which got no response.

And then I don't really remember which other ones were shown. I did notice that a lot of trailers started the same way. City skyline shot with a bridge in it. Idk why I noticed that.

We didn't get Star Wars which was kinda weird. Im glad we didn't because I don't wanna watch the new trailer, but I thought Disney would put SW in front of their other biggest movie for the year.

My Age of Ultron showing last night didn't have a FFINO trailer attached, bu the Ant-Man trailer got a lot of laughs.

Let me correct what I said, there were laughs during the Masterminds trailer and yes the scene with the train in Ant-Man. But there were't really any cheers. I always use my wife as a barometer for typical GA reaction and the only one she seemed interested in was Jurassic World.

People loved that damn trailer. Every scene got a gasp or something during my screening.

We didn't get the Masterminds trailer

While unintended, I kept referring to Chris Pratt as the Dinosaur Whisperer.

When the FFINO trailer played, there was a lot of vomiting, and several cries of WHYYYYYY??? could be heard.

I suppose I should mention that I haven't seen Age of Ultron yet. All that above happened when I watched the trailer at home by myself.

The "hottest" of Hollywood usually get the responses at my theater.

BUT, all of the Divergent and Hunger Games trailers have gotten a response from the audiences when their trailers have come on.

Yeah, I think things like Star Wars, Avengers, Batman and other big, well-known properties will sometimes get some whoops and cheers, but other than that, the most I hear are some laughs and murmurs.

It's hard to tell what the murmurs are because they could be people saying: "That looks really good" or "That looks really bad" or "Where the hell are The Thing's pants?"

:lmao:

Jurassic world got a huge reaction. That and the Ant-man/train bit got the biggest response.

I saw the trailer in front of AoU, and I liked it. It looks like it could be good, heck very good. It just doesn't look like a FF film imo.

I agree..... *sighs* it's just sad that I couldn't be feeling that way AND saying....wow, that looks and feels just like the F4. :csad:

There was nothing but silence for all the other trailers including Jurassic World. The only one that got any response was Antman. There were some laughs at a couple of scenes like the train sequence.
