This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]497657[/split]
I'm not burying my head in the sand. I'm just put off by the impression that people are happy about Trank's apparent personal self-implosion because it vindicates their certainty that the movie is going to be bad.

That's not fair.
Some of us are also happy that we'll get a better director on that Star Wars film.
I'm not happy about about Trank's personal and professional problems. I am estatic, however, that a cheap corporate rights grab that crapped all over Marvel's First Family and represented a huge step backward in the golden age of superhero films is a glorious mess behind the scenes.
This is exactly the kind of behavior and sentiment that I'm put off by.

Recap so far:
*3 month filming completed
*Fox hated what they saw and demanded reshoots
*Said demand gave way to Trank acting unprofessionally to where he threated Sneider and trashed a residence. Plus substance abuse
*Insulted both Kinberg and Kennedy to where he was refused to appear at the SW celebrations
*Net result of the last two points gave way to his dismissal from the stand alone SW project and Fan4stic reshoots are still going on albeit without him
I'm really upset---does this mean Michael Jordan won't be in the Star Wars movie that trank was going to make?

No one is happy that Trank might have a problem. No one is celebrating that, so stop trying to change the subject. What puts you off is that the signs were there from the start. Everyone knew this was a rights grab. Look at how filming started, they kept pushing it back. Then the reports of Trank came out, and still people wanted to deny it. These amounts of reshoots are normal some said. It has taken Trank getting fired from Star Wars for at least a little acknowledgement, and now you have decided to come here and shame people for pointing out the obvious. This is exactly the kind of behavior and sentiment that I'm put off by.
*The very night this information comes out Fox schedules another film a mere two weeks after Fant4stic.
Yeah, like Noah. And other posters are "put off" by people who ignored every single complaint made by others about the production. You will never have a 100% concensus on anything....some people will like something while others dislike it.
Here we have people who have said they were not liking what they were seeing and hearing about the production. They also said that they were hearing unsettling things about the director. Some people on here said that our reasons for be apprehensive were overreactions and that what was said about the director was false stories being made up by the people who felt apprehensive. Well.....now the stories about him are being proven true. Is it that hard to think that at least some of our worries about the production are not false or overreactions?
Don't worry. Trank can probably get Space Jam 2 instead.
That's my thought....I believe he has screwed up the FF and that there is nothing that can help it this far into it (except maybe not releasing it at all)....so the news that he was dropped from the next STAR WARS film was great news for me, for now I know that movie won't be ruined as well.
