Wow. I know a couple near me closed down a few years ago and your comment made me curious so I just did a search. It looks like there are only 9 left in NJ. They used to be everywhere, but it looks like they've had some hard times.

There used to be one in Memphis but that closed down a while ago. I think there are like...20 left nationwide now.

I saw it too. Not all that great in its entirety. Not sure if many would recognise it as The Thing if they weren't told. Don't think the asymmetry works for the design either. Not a game changer on my opinion of him to be honest.

It's almost like the marketing department is sitting around saying:

"People are starting to think this might not be too bad. What can we do to turn things around?"

"We've got a full-scale Thing statue that looks sort of like an orange Pillsbury® Dough Boy with no toes, no pants, and no manhood. Should we get that out there?"

"Run with it. No time to lose. If we don't do something soon the mood could turn positive."

Is this like The Producers? Have the accountants done some calculations and determined they'll make more money if this flops or something?

No, because I believe separate people handle trailer editing, and since they've already produced one trailer, they have enough "finished" footage to, in theory, produce another.

We're either not getting one or it won't come until mid to late July.

What happened at 51 seconds, I didn't catch it. lol. Was it Mara's pose or the team's pose without Jamie Bell. I guess they are adding the CG Thing instead of him.

Almost forgot Gabriel Gray's tweet that a trailer is coming soon. So guess I was wrong.

I don't think there are any timing issues. If we're going to get a third trailer, it would be coming within the next few weeks and at this point the film has to be 99% finished.

I just don't think we're going to get a third trailer because I haven't seen anybody in-the-know suggesting it was coming. But more convincingly to me, this website (which called exactly correctly both previous trailers long before they showed up) doesn't have anything listed: http://projectionlist.com/#/site/trailers

Yeah but that website only makes educated guesses as it says on the top.

I would rather look up Alberta Film Ratings or something like that. It is still not up anyway. But the website updates are pretty slow as I check it quite often for a lot of movies.

I noticed that when somebody first posted a link in (January?) when they were predicting the first FF trailer with Kingsman and the second with AOU.

In hindsight, that might seem like common sense, but I saw many other supposedly knowledgeable sources over that same time predict wrong dates that I came to put some faith in them.

Interesting that they're predicting a Deadpool trailer with FF. We'll see.

Yeah. They also got BvS teaser date completely wrong. They made all sorts of educated guesses. That's when I stopped checking Projectionlist.

Interestingly, checking the site for the first time after a long time after you posted the link here, I see they are predicting BvS trailer and Civil War trailer to come out on the same day.
