they should ditch the cliche of having four heroes. have six or seven people and call them the "fantastic four"

Also they should ditch the whole superpower cliche. It's just been used too much in superhero properties.

It sounds like they're kind of ditching the action cliché, so that's something.

And they meet the villain in college too. More clichés!

Exactly-- lots of movies use that over and over, thus it becomes a CLICHE. Hero meets his adversary in college.
Way cooler for them to meet on the project itself. Ditch that revenge cliche where Doom blames Reed.

I'm still waiting to hear how "Doom having a separate origin" is a cliche

Please, I'm all ears

I'm gonna see this theaters, but I'll be buying a ticket for Ant-Man to get in.

Wasn't it said somewhere that part of the conflict Doom has here is blaming Reed and wanting revenge?

Yeah--- "ears" of corn because the comic version is so damn corny in 2015. So they alter some details. John and Joe moviegoer could not care less. They just want an exciting 2 hours and maybe they'll get it. We'll know in 16 days.

I asked my friends to do the very same, if they absolutely must see this. I won't be making the trip for this unless marvelrobbins or CyclopsWasRight or Psylockasaurus or one of the other supporters buys my ticket. I'd make the time if it was on their dime.

They want the movie to do well, so they probably would buy your ticket for you.

I'm going to do that too. My knucklehead friend insisted he was going to see it with somebody if I didn't go with him. So rather than him drag another person who will put $12 towards this, I deciced to contribute toward Ant Man. At least I won't have to worry about finding a pair of 3D glasses since I'll buy a ticket for Ant Man in 2D and FF only comes in 2D

The offer is open. I'd even commit to writing a full review but no one would ever believe it was unbiased.

Why even bother seeing the film in the theaters?

Am I the only one who thinks it's wrong to see 2 movies at cinema for the price of one? Is it legal in some cinemas?

Who said anything about that? The idea is you buy a ticket for another movie starting at the same time, and watch the Fantastic Four instead. That way the theater gets its money, but Fox doesn't get it.

You pay for the movie you want to support while watching the one you don't (for science). I haven't actually mastered splitting myself in half so i could watch two films at the same time yet but if you have hints I'm open.

I don't think anybody is intending to gyp the theater--simply buy a ticket for one movie and use it to see another. NOT use one ticket to see two movies. It's not hurting FF because I would pay to see it under any circumstance--it will help Ant Man and the theater owner.

Hmm. Oh I never got the impression people didn't want to pay just because they don't want to pay Fox, I thought it was their "hard earned" money on something that wouldn't see.

So you guys are saying you would pay twice on Antman but seeing it only once?

That's fine if you are seeing one movie if you pay for one ticket I guess!

If by some chance I actually enjoy the movie, I'll go back and buy 2 tickets to cover the cost of the first time I watched

It's really Nothing personal against fox because I do enjoy their x-men movies, but this reboot really just feels like an attempt to keep the rights away from marvel studios

It's not about watching 2 movies at the same time, but to have watched multiple movies before leaving the theatre. Believe it or not, this **** happens.

My position has always been based on not supporting Fox, or their shallow rights retention grab, financially.

My theater never checks tix except on long line days, and they only check then as everyone files through the front door. So yeah, I would pay for Ant-Man even as I prepared to shuffle into the FF auditorium.
