I really hope they do, I think they are the ones that should have final say. Universal should offer different plans and see which one would work best for Paul's family, his character, the movie and the franchise. This is a really difficult situation.

I was watching some video of Paul test driving the Nissan GT-R in Japan, what a cool guy, so full of life! :(

That clown seems to be circling every franchise it seems.

That's because websites generate those rumors knowing that it'll produce a lot of clicks/hits on their site. It's pretty gross.

Not to be insensitive (believe me, Walker's death is a tragedy and it's genuinely a shame), but Universal obviously wouldn't just end the franchise after 7, in the same way that the Batman movies have and will continue to exist after Heath.

I mean, you've got Vin Diesel, you've got The Rock, Lucas Black, Gal Gadot, Ludacris, Tyrese... More than enough to make three more movies - hell, ten more movies. And add NEW characters too.

You know what's kind of ironic about the whole notion of ending the series? I think Tokyo Drift is UNQUESTIONABLY the best of the series anyway.

I didn't see anyone saying they can't continue it. The problem is, you cannot replace 13 years of chemistry by just adding a new actor. That's their problem they are facing right now. There will be a void that will be felt in the team. It's also the fact his character arc was nowhere near leaving the series so it will impact the story and also show within the team. The franchise will carry on but they just hit a roadblock at their peak.

Yeah, he was the one that was really reluctant about the whole thing since the first flick since he used to be a cop and still kind of struggled with it.

Wasn't she killed in Furious 6?

Not to mention shes going to be a LITTLE busy for the next several years....just a hunch. Lol

She dead bro. But I hope they find a way to bring her back, and maybe Han too. They were awesome together and I legit almost cried when she died.

technically it was never really revealed so in this F&F universe, anything is possible. didn't she post a pic from the set of a chair with her name on it a while back?
she posted this about 2 months ago

side note: no to bieber.

No way she could have survived unless maybe there was a giant mattress on the runway where she happened to land. Although considering some of the stupid physically impossible stuff that happened in that movie it wouldn't be out of the question. I hope they bring her back.

And yes please to ten more films

So I just saw the "Bieber to replace Walker" rumor... :ikyn

Luckily it's almost 100% definitely false. Although there was truth in Ludacris wanting Bieber involved before it somehow mutated into him taking Walker's place, only to be shot down quickly. Though why anyone considered it a good idea is an even bigger mystery.

Bieber could play Brian and Mia's son Jack in the future. He could be in a time traveling car from the future.

This is the franchise that put non-actor Ludracis in one of the supporting roles so anything is possible (and don't forget Ja Rule!).

Dom puts her picture on Han's casket in the Fast 7 sneak peak, so that should settle any conspiracy theories. Letty already used the back from the dead card, they should just leave it at that

I think the only way she can come back legitimately is via a twin sister (which is very soap opera-y) or flashbacks.

i was thinking flashbacks too

but if vin can be thrown from a bridge in F6 and land on a car virtually unscathed, then perhaps Giselle survived, badly injured in a hospital for a very long time or something lol

You heard it here first! The Delorean is going to pop up. BTTF and F&F crossver!

Coma, another soap opera staple. Even more ridiculous than the twin sister but this way it's still her and not just a look alike.

This might be cheesy but I think Brian should be kept alive... I think what hey shed do is have Brian continue with DSS and have him track down Shaw and help the team off screen. We already saw Brian turn his back on Law Enforcement twice, this time he chooses to stay with them while protecting the team. This way the studio can continue with the franchise and still have it be lighthearted and cheesy.

For example Dom and co can't seem to fiend any traces of Shaw, Tej gets a email from Brian with all possible locations... The team travel to China chasing Shaw down, Brian has cars waiting for them. The team needs more drivers for a particular job, Brian made a few calls and you got some new drivers waiting for them. Essentially you could even use some of Paul's former co-stars from previous films to make appearances as Brian's friends to help the team out. I think that way you honor Paul while still staying true to the character of Brian by always helping the team out even if you don't see him, his still watching over his family. And this way Mai wouldn't necessarily have to be written out since Brian is Globe Trotting with the DSS.

Finally saw Fast 6 last night. I hope that the new film isn't quite as over-the-top unbelievable as that one. Fast Five had a lot of insane action, but wasn't absolutely ludicrous (no pun intended) stuff and it look pretty real. Fast 6 took it into Live Free or Die Hard territory. I also had trouble rooting for Letty again when she just sits there through most of the movie not lifting a finger while Shaw slaughters people.

On that note... Shaw was one awesome bad guy. It was good to finally see this series get a top-notch villain. That's one thing it's lacked in all of its installments, really. Carter Varone in 2Fast was pretty good, but a bit underutilized.

As for Paul Walker's brother stepping in to film some scenes... that's a great tribute to his brother.

I don't think I could do that if my brother had just died like that.

Only thing I wish this series did, was outright kill Letty. They sort of fumbled her 'arc' from death. Either make her outright villain after the fact, or just have her die... and let Vin avenge her. Her coming back to the 'familia' was a little to cute.

I'm sure the same car that broke Dom and Letty's fall saved Gisele too lol

I just love that somehow landing on a CAR would somehow save your life, lol. Because they're known for being so soft and cushiony.
