What was your favorite fight scene between Spidey and Ock in SM-2??

Mine was the train. Still the best fight scene ever in comic book movie history IMO!! Sheer greatness.

I'm going to have to say the Train Fight too. It's just a spectacular piece of action. The bank fight and the clock fight come in at a close second.

Hard choice. They were all AMAZING to me. I'm sure everyone would have voted for "All" if the option was included

Despite only lasting a mere 2 mins: The Train Fight.

The train fight is so awesome but like Red X said I wish it was longer.

I think it was all universally incredible until the end, where it was just Spidey punching Ock repeatedly in the water. That was like, "Hey.......we've run out of money, guys."

I'm going to have to say the Clock Tower Fight, which would lead into the Train Fight. I thought it flowed smoothly from one battle into the next. Although I thought all the encounters were awesome.

LOL!

Too true!

I love them all. But I'll say the train fight.

*Does anyone know of a another fight scene filmed between Doc Ock and Spidey? They were in some apartment and a woman was a by stander in the background. On the Stunts portion of the Making The Amazing featurette, about 3 minutes into it you see Spider-Man on top of Doc Ock punching him. Then Doc's arms lift him and throw him against the wall. I wonder did they ever finish that? That would've been cool to see as well.

Wait 'til you see Donner's Superman II.

isn't the train/clocktower fight, the same bloody fight??????

and isn't the bankfight the same fight that also takes place on the side of the building???

i don't know why they have been separated out.

as for the question, it's quite clearly in this order.

bank/side of building fight.

clocktower/train fight.

end bout.

The problem with all these fights though is that spidey lands far too many blows though which takes away from the bout in question.

I also think that the whole train aspect wasn't used to the best of its ability and the fact that a full on bout then changed mid way through to become some manner of peril kinda took away from the pace of it all, especially since the scenes up to it (spidey falling recovering, and saving two people) were top notch. It was probably one of the most anti climatic fights i felt. It was a shame ock never truelly beat spidey in the film in a one on one, which i think he is more than capable of doing.

but still spidey's falling scene while pummeling ock is the only time i've seen him go nuts on screen and it was nice to he could go ape, (even though he couldn't even knock out an middle aged man, but still).

:o

I voted for the train fight, though all of them were amazing.

No. Since one battle happens on a clock tower, the other happens on a train

No. Since one happens in a bank and the other happens on a building wall.

i don't know why they have been separated out.

Because they are all seperate battle grounds.

as for the question, it's quite clearly in this order.

Quite clearly that's your opinion. Which is fine ;)

why does change of location automatically mean end of fight?

nothing is resolved and it carries on immediately after in some instances.

surely a battle is ended by either, the exit of an opponent from an area, a victor or an agreed stalemate.

if both parties leave at around the same time to continue, doesn't that mean the battle also continues, especially since the music score also continues and doesn't take a break?

There was a break in fighting between each of these locales.

Ock escaped the bank with Aunt May as a hostage. The battle resumed again when Spidey followed on the building wall.

The battle halted when Spidey and Ock fell off the clock tower. They resumed the fight when they landed on the train. Different battle settings, different battle.

but the motivation for spider-man chases him remains the same, he's still trying to stop ock escaping the scene of the crime in the first scene and in the second he's still after mj.

the only reason there is a break in the first one is to allow for aunt may to be kidnapped while spidey is out due to door being flung at him.

in the second one there is no break, they are just getting their footing while fighting on a moving platform and they continue, the scores don't even stop,

in the first one it only pauses to highlight that lady screaming.

if musically they are one entity, then why aren't they considered one entity visually?

it's like saying obi-wan and anakin have five/six fights in return of the sith? because they light sabre duel in four different locations

it's quite clearly one continual fight even with breaks and scene changes.

Think what you like November Rain. I care not. The change in battle settings and break from a fight constitutes a different battle to me. You seem to be the only one who has a problem with this.

You want to split hairs then go ahead. You don't like the poll then tough, don't vote on it.

I'm not in the mood for nit pickers today :o

it's just interesting how people will combine some scenes like the whole superman 2 fights in metropolis, or the hulk 'desert' fights with the army as one whole battle but think falling off a building or moving something just a building down as a completely different battle. that for me is more of a nit pick for me than bringing it to light.

to each their own, i'm merely interested in the thought process behind it, c'est tout.

Ok, look at it this way. Two people are fighting. Something interrupts/stops the battle, and then they are moved to a completely different location before they fight again.

That's two different fights to me. That's my thought process, be it ever so humble ;)

fair enough, no harm no foul.

i'd explain mine but i guess you already have the gist of it.;)

as long as you remain consistent along the board, i'll have my eye on you, oh yes.....i will......

*freaky look*
