Would they really want to kill off that many slaves? Who'd pay the actual taxes? :(

Most of the lower class’ tax burden is negligible...federally speaking.

The rich would lose their money from the consumer markets.

Thanos should have read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

So, Trump is threatening a shutdown in Sept. Which doesn't exactly seem like the best strategy...

Michelle Wolf got in some good hits on Trump and his cabinet members at the WHCD. It was glorious.

I can't watch stuff like that, because man some of those burns were too bad and the people were in the room. I tried to watch, but I felt too much discomfort for Sara Huckabee Sanders and had to turn it off.

But I was able to read some of the jokes... and oh man! She just fustagated them.

I doubt it did any good, but just watched the commercial John Oliver paid to put on Fox News for Trump. Was lol'ing, in part because it's so true. About the only way you can get Trump's attention is via Fox News airtime, and making it a character like a cowboy only increases the chances he'll be entertained enough to watch it. Even better if the commercial addresses him directly. What does that say about our countries leader?

There's one on the Iran deal where he says, "Hey Donald", right at the start, and another on why nazi's are bad.

It's 2018 and I'm a woman, so you can't shut me up... unless you have Michael Cohen wire me $130,000.

It is kind of crazy that the Trump campaign was in touch with Russia when the Hillary campaign wasn't even in touch with Michigan.

I would drag him here myself, but it turns out that the President Of The United States is the one p*ssy you’re not allowed to grab

Trump is so broke, he has to fly failed business class.

I’m not going to go after print media tonight because it’s illegal to attack an endangered species.

Mike Pence is what happens when Anderson Cooper isn't gay.

The most useful information on CNN is when Anthony Bourdain tells me where to eat noodles.

Fox News is here. So you know what that means, ladies. Cover your drinks. Seriously. People want me to make fun of Sean Hannity tonight, but I cannot do that. This dinner is for journalists.

I did have a lot of jokes about cabinet members. But I had to scrap all of those because everyone has been fired. You guys are going through Cabinet members quicker than Starbucks throws out black people.

Just a reminder to everyone, I'm here to make jokes, I have no agenda, I'm not trying to get anything accomplished, so everyone that's here from Congress, you should feel right at home.

I know there’s a lot of people who want me to talk about Russia and Putin and collusion, but I’m not gonna do that because there’s a lot of liberal media here and I’ve never wanted to know what any of you look like when you orgasm.

You guys are obsessed with Trump. Did you use to date him? Because you pretend like you hate him, but I think you love him. I think what no one in this room wants to admit is that Trump has helped all of you. He couldn’t sell steaks or vodka or water or college or ties or Eric. But he has helped you. He’s helped you sell your papers and your books and your TV. You helped create this monster and now you’re profiting off of him. And if you’re going to profit off of Trump, you should at least give him some money because he doesn’t have any.

I'm not familiar with Michelle Wolfe, but she had some good jokes about everyone.

John Oliver is fantastic. :D

I don't feel bad for any of them considering how warranted it was.

The vast hypocrisy of the right being outraged mean jokes a comedian said, when at the same time Trump holds one of the most racist and vile rallies I have ever seen.

They are probably outraged because those jokes actually a lot of truth in them. :p

The Right are also mad because they have virtually no comedians who are on their side.

They have Dennis Miller, who immediately stopped being funny when he became an alt-right wingnut.

Trump supporters are just pitiful snowflakes. They love it when Trump embraces political incorrectness but outraged when Wolf does it to Dear Leader and his acolytes in a roast.

Wolf softened the hits towards Sarah and KellyAnne, obviously since they were attending, but she didn't body shame or add personal insults like "b**ch" or comment about their looks. She humorously pointed out their tendencies to lie and how they run press briefings.

Aren't these the same idiots always mentioning about how folks should stop being "triggered" so easily? Awful lot of projecting going on 'round these here parts. :hehe:

Apparently Kanye West is a hero now because he speaks his mind.

The weird thing is their stance is usually "you don't get paid to discuss politics" when celebs criticize the right.

They should just get rid of the WHCD anyways. Even before the current President it had become just another media circle jerk and gotten away from its original purpose.

I tried watching Michelle Wolf on Netflix once. I lasted 5 minutes. I didn’t find her funny at all, just screechy.

Yeah, it's not so much a comedy show as a roast these days. Which is fine, but it feels kinda weird to laugh at a roast when the person is literally in the room and never agreed to sit there and laugh while she or he is being publicly mocked. It's just asking a lot i guess. For me, it's too uncomfortable to be funny.

She could have said far worse things about Sanders and been entirely justified. Far worse.

Did the rest of the nation agree to sit and listen to her lie to the American people day after day?

Definitely not. Sara Huckabee Sanders deserves to be publicly ridiculed. They all do. It's just a thing with me. Making fun of someone to their face just feels really uncomfortable. When people are literally making fun of you, and you have to just sit there, grin and bear it... ugh... painful to go through. Painful to watch someone to have to go through, at least for me.

After a minute of watching, I had to just turn it off and read the excerpts instead, but all the jokes seemed funny and totally appropriate to me!
