If taken literally that could mean his whips make **** explode or something. Like they wrap round something and charge it, then it explodes?

It is possible. perhaps overload electronic equipment. Overloads Iron mans circuits with one hit disabling him so Whip lash can whip him around. I also figure he would wear something so exposed as a form of mocking to Tony.

Yea I'm interested in finding out how his personality will be more so than what costume/armour he is getting.

Whiplash looks an awful lot like Attack Deoxsys
The connection was obvious...

Both have insane attack stats (whips hurt a lot) and very low defense (Whiplash is completely exposed)

Also. Yes, I would like to know what's his personality like.

I bet Wiphlash is defeated by Iron Man and War Machine, arrested by SHIELD and send to the Crave, where Abomination is also imprisioned. He may come back for an Avengers movie featuring the Masters of Evil.

I wonder if he's a henchman type of villain in that he just uses the tech that Hammer provides him or the genius bad ass type of villain.

Somebody suggest that the whiplash armor was Ivan's own idea and he steals the chest piece or a similar device....

I don't like the idea of Ivan creating the suit. I just want to see him as a really skilled killer with a really advanced weapon. I would rather have Justin Hammer financing Ivan and Iron Man accusing Hammer of highering goons but in a drunken blunder goes a little too far in trying to get hammer and have that ruin his rep.

Ivan can be a serial killer and still create the suit.

There is one thing that has been bugging me...
Will the movie actually have the balls to make Hammer say...

"Mr. Stark? Do you know what time it is? IT'S HAMMER TIME!!!!"

One question:

Lets say Whiplash is indeed an assassin and has been sent to kill Tony Stark.
However, I specifically remember hearing that Stark's driver loses a race which makes Stark go on a sort of angry drunk rampage as Iron Man....

Can anyone confirm this?

I don't think it's true. Favreau and Downey Jr alredy confirmed "Demon in the Bottle" won't be adressed in the movie. It'd be odd to see Tony ravashing the Grand Prix because of a lost bet.

It's actually pretty accurate to his comic book costume. Minus the gimp mask. It's definitely inspired by it.

I don't see the problem. Ivan will probably use this to go after the civilian Tony Stark, get his ass handed to him by War Machine, get upgraded Crimson Dynamo armour off Hammer, then have a sick fight against both Iron Man and War Machine at the end.

That may be so, but a full black suit of body armor with textures of some sort would have looked better. It looks out of place. I wonder if cgi will be placed over the image?

Someone needs to post a good picture of the inspiration (gimp outfit) for this look. The ones I've seen remind me of Bane from The Batman, that animated Batman from a year or two ago.

Yea but I think that the suit he is wearing in that picture is SUPPOSED to be a crude prototype.
