Yes but part 3 kind of had some BS way of bringing Pinhead back.That's why in my early post I was mentioning why I love the first two but felt the third film on was using the bankable factor of Pinhead being a horror icon to sell the film rather than make something creepy, dark and depressing like the originals.

Dr. Channard kind of killed the remaining bit of humanity left inside the cenobites that was still there from when they were humans before playing with the cube. So for the third, Pinhead was trapped in this pillar statue and needed blood to fully come back.

This is a really rough way of explaining it.
 
I've only seen the first two in their entirety, I've seen parts of the one where they are in colonial time and in Space?? and another that takes place in a nightclub.


Or was that Candyman? I can't remember.

Part 3 had a lot of it's scenes in a nightclub so that's probably the one your thinking of.

Aside from the first 4 that were released theatrically I've only seen the first two that were DTV and I didn't care much for them so never watched the other DTV films.

Swan's credits including writing stints for the "Masters of Horror" series and the television series "Fear Itself."
Up next for the 39-year-old is his debut as a feature film director.
"It's a little horror flick called 'Mask-Head,' produced by Fred Vogel and Toe Tag Pictures," Swan told me June 12. "Fred's the creator of the 'August Underground' series and the director of 'The Redsin Tower.' Most recently, Toe Tag released 'The Murder Collection: Volume 1.'"
Swan said he thinks "Mask-Head" will be released in late 2009.
"'Mask-Head' focuses on a group of underground filmmakers who cross a number of gruesome lines in pursuit of making their video masterpieces," he said. "It really is a bit of underground shock nastiness."

i liked fear itself, no bad it didn't last. I guess people don't like watching horror related tv shows.
 
I only saw the episode with Brandon Routh in it and I liked it.

I've seen Quarantine, should I bother seeing [REC]?


I've been disappointed with some original movies when compared to the remakes/Americanized versions.

Btw, just got done watching the 5th Hellraiser movie. What a piece of ****.:down
 
Yeah, I've never really seen any of the hellraiser films besides bits and pieces of the first one.
 
The 1st and 2nd are best. The 3rd was almost as good. Thing started going bad at the 4th, but there were a couple of redeeming qualities to it. The 5th was **** like I said earlier. The 6th one was kind of on par with the 3rd and 4th to me. Going to watch the 7th sometime today.

I can't wait for [REC] 2. I loved the first movie, and I think they can pull of a viable sequel. Quarantine was okay. [REC] has just slightly better atmosphere, and that's probably due to the fact that I can't speak Spanish. lol

I could see how that would make the film more eerie.

I'm in the minoirty that I actually don't mind the DTV Hellraisers. Mind you I didn't see Hellworld, the last one, but I thought the "personal Hell" storyline of 5 and 6 , especially with the twist involving Kristy at the end of Hellseeker. Deader was ok, but with the my recent knowledge that it was supposed to be a stand alone film, I can see the Cenobite angle is deifnetely tacked on. Deader was kinda strange either way, not sure if I liked it. I like the first 3 a lot as well, though 4 I kind ahate. The space parts are actually pretty ok with me, but the rest kind of drags.
 
Inferno(5) and Hellworld(8) were by far the worst Hellraiser movies. Deader(7) was as good as Hell on Earth(3), and Hellseeker(6) was great. Still don't care too much for Bloodline(4), but I prefer it to Inferno and Hellworld. None of them hold a candle to the first two though.:up:
