FX's The Bridge

Um..... did the chick saying "*** in me" have a point or just to be gratuitous?

I guess we can clear Deputy Try Hard. :wow:

Two wrongs don't make a right. Disappointed in Marco's wife. Maybe her boss is the killer. Maybe that's why the shooter targeted Marco.

Yeah he kinda went out with a splat, lol. :p

The scene with Sonya talking to the killer was odd, suddenly she was like a regular cop, trying to manipulate Childress, none of her eccentricities were on show, and why did she choke herself at end?

Obviously Childress is a pawn, he probably did some of the killing but how did he get the inside info?

I hope Lilard's character isn't dead.

The whole ep was on the gratuitous side, from that fairly explicit scene to naked ass jiggling man, to geriatric oral shenanigans to the deputy getting his face blown off.

damn that latest episode was crazy

Yeah it really was. I was kinda surprised. I mean the show isn't "soft" by most standards but this episode was a lot more explicit then the previous ones

More so than you usually see on FX, this was closer to Showtime stuff.

I've become so numb to it all I didn't even notice. :p

I'm pretty sure "The Beast" is the guy Marco's wife was screwing. The eyes in the sketch match his eyes.

Well, I checked the writing credits for this episode, and apparently this was his first actual writing credit on something. That kind of explains the overly gratuitous nature of the episode, and why some things (Sonya not displaying her usual eccentricities) seemed a little off compared to the previous episodes.

That was a really good episode tonight. Liked how everything came together to complete this circle of chaos. The subplot with Charllote & the tunnel is the only thing that doesn't really connect yet. Unless Tate planned that too knowing it would lead to Marco cheating, then Marco's wife into his arms. In that case, Tate is a f'n genius! Now all that's left is to catch the guy. Preferably before he kills Marco's wife & the unborn child. Because it looks like he knows about the affair in the preview.

Then there's Gus. Yep, he's going to hit that. :o

I been watching this show from the beginning but I didn't feel the need to comment about til now because that episode had me WHAT!!

crap, looks like the main cop's son will bang Diane Kruger.......... DAMN IT, HE IS UGLY, WTF

Nice twist..didn't think of the guy who's banging Marco wife!

I need to watch these through again. I'm starting to get a bit confused. What was the point of the scene in the beginning where the journalist lost his pants and passport?

the guy that Mathew Lillard's character was hanging out with is the guy who got his throat slit at the end of the episode

turns out he was the one that killed that FBI guy's family

What said GREEN =w= DAY....also you notice he denies knowing Lillard's character to the journalist girl, because i think the pre-credit scene was the night he killed Tates wife and son with his car.

I also need to go back a re-watch some of the eps. Is Tate, Marco's wife's co-worker..? If so, how come Marco has never met/seen him before..? He's supposed to be dead but looks exactly the same as he did when Marco knew him

Thanks, cuz that did a complete fly by on me, lol. I was thinking that guy's passport was going to turn up somewhere....

at the end of that opening scene you hear the car crash. wasn't until the bathroom scene did that scene make sense.

That's Tate playing it safe. Not getting too close to her to the point he becomes part of the dinner conversation. Besides, before the separation it didn't look like they chatted much about her day at work.

Quality episode with a lot falling into place. As soon as the sister told Sonya that Tate's wife died going to see a guy in Warez that she was having an affair with, I knew it was going to be Marco, but I didn't guess Tate would turn out to be the bookish guy noodling his missus, that bathroom scene was cold!

The cop with the 70's porn head was bang out of order with those comments about Sonya. I'm glad she didn't jump Gus's bones to feel better though.

I wonder why Childress said he was supposed to shoot Marco though, I'd imagine Tate wants him alive for his big finale.

Btw I'm starting to feel sorry for that creeper Linder, I mean Worst. Sex. Dream. EVER! :(

Winner.

Interesting that they would give someone their first writing gig in the middle of the season.

^ As soon as they revealed who Tate is, I immediately remembered how someone here correctly predicted it.

It was a great episode and I gotta laugh at how the source/cause of all of Marco's problems have to do with him and his infidelities. :hehe:

marco is not really the brightest cop, is he? shouldnt he realize by now that the guy is targeting him? shouldnt he call his wife or son? damn..what an idiot...

Suddenly, Marco's affair with the lady who owns the ranch (I can't even be bothered to remember her name) in that one episode suddenly doesn't seem to come out of nowhere, because now we know there's precedent for him doing it (heh) in the past.

Though, it begs the question of why he was unfaithful to his wife the first time around. Previous marital problems? It would explain why Marco's wife took finding out about his affair as well as she did. I mean, she was angry with him, but she didn't yell at him or anything. It was almost like she suspected his previous infidelity.

the whole marriage of those two seems like a joke..

Didn't the son say something like "The last time this happened" during the episode? I can't recall.
