Great choices to play the female lead I would love Lea but after seeing Ferguson in Mission Impossible i wouldn't mind seeing her in more movies
Was this on the dvd? Or is it on youtube?
Sweet! Look forward to seeing Belladonna, and glad she's allegedly the Female lead. Ferguson was amazing in MI5, would be a great move if they can get a deal with her.
[BLACKOUT]Wade doesn't know she's a mutant till later in the comic Deadpool history. It's not something that needs to happen right away. They can use it as a twist. Especially if they start getting into X-Force stuff later, in which she starts as a villain impersonating Domino. [/BLACKOUT]
Also, the Deadpool film now has 2 female mutant characters who were not in the original script. So at least there will be some ass kickers.
So she will likely be the love interest yeah?
[BLACKOUT]So yet another case of:don't worry, we'll get to it eventually, maybe. Just wait. I'm getting really tired of studios constantly doing that (I don't like it when Marvel does it, looking at you Ant-Man, and I don't like it here. The fact that it's almost always female/minority characters who get the "well possibly do it in the future, maybe" treatment only makes it worse (the X-films not so great track record when it comes to female characters doesn't help either, they haven't earned the benefit of the doubt in that regard). And it's a waste of Morena Baccarin to boot. Enough with the "maybe sort of, in the future" nonsense, just do it NOW for once.
So then if the female lead is Bella Donna, then is it too unreasonable to assume that her brother, Julien, is going to be the main villain and probably somehow a mutant, either that or Gambit's powers are going to be severely downplayed or somehow neutered throughout the film? In that case, though, making this a film about the New Orleans Assassins Guild, this might end up becoming competition for Assassin's Creed... which stars Michael Fassbender.
I haven't seen Rogue Nation yet but I'm itchin' to.
That said from the trailers I had thought she was much older, like 40's. Was much impressed with the MI franchise for giving this, at that time what I thought was, this much older woman (I laugh at that as I type this as Sir Thomas Cruise is in his 50s) a leading lady role.
She's only 31...FML. She's my age.

I'm seeing it today.
I had the same thought about her, though. When the first trailer came out, I thought she was much closer to Cruise in age. I was surprised/delighted. Funny enough, once I realized her actual age I could no longer "see" her as the previous age I thought she was. It's like my brain and sight adjusted accordingly to the information.![]()

Now that Channing Tatum has been set for Fox’s Rupert Wyatt-directed X-Men spinoff Gambit, the studio is working on locking his female lead. This is a hotly contested job, the role of Belladonna Boudreaux aka Bella, and they’ve got a trio of the best and brightest testing next week.
Not in this film, but some day. Then who? Rogue?![]()
Would be great if we got a classic powers Rogue who was sassy/sexy and not demure (with 90's costume) together with Gambit.
