Sequels "Gambit" starring Channing Tatum? - Part 2

To Fox and Tatum's credit I think they are more with concerned making a quality film and less concerned with having the film out in 2016. When you are behind a comic book film that got destroyed by audiences and critics alike you have to be more careful. You can stumble but not to that degree.

Wow, his cajun accent sounds pretty damn good although he does mention in that clip "This is a bad accent" lol

It's at least solid. It may honestly be the best cajun accent we've ever heard from a Gambit, but that's a low bar.

He'll work with a dialect coach, of course.

Gambit starts filming this March *yahoooo*

Also, Gambit's hair

I just hope he starts to slim down his body.

By the way, he was a good Beyonce in that Spyke show!

Hopefully, some confirmations will be coming, in particular for Liman and Seydoux.

Isn't Doug Liman long confirmed to direct this? The news broke on credible websites and trades. It doesn't get more official than that.

Didn't think it was locked down, though. I guess if they are heading into shooting this March, then the did lock him in.

Honestly, I think just a trench coat would be fine.

The Hateful Eight sold me on his accent that's the only thing that concerned me with Chan. I'm all in... glad you'll give him a chance.

Me too, really liked him in the Hateful 8, it was a small role but he made the most of it and his accent was great, whether it turns out to be the one he actually uses in Gambit it at least it showed he has the talent to do various accents convincingly.

Glad production is getting underway March, not much is expected from this and I expect a lot assume it will be a flop but we shall see.

I would prefer him slimmer as well, but I don't see it happening.

His face looks like he sleeps or drinking too much, chubby...

If his face is considered chubby than we're all screwed.

Yeah I'm hoping that Deadpool receives critical acclaim for its look and it'll push Fox to make Gambit and other X-films to do the same with its look. I actually hope Gambit retains a similar feel to Deadpool, and is focused on a few characters, one of them being a more notable character like Colossus in Deadpool. Someone like Fantomex if they intend to use him in X-Force or something, another member of the X-Men whether they recast or use their 2023 selves etc.

Financial success would be more likely to mean something to the studio in terms of faithfulness on future projects.

A movie people praise for its accuracy and aesthetic but which makes little money or takes a loss would tell the studio that being more faithful or comic booky means nothing in the end.

Introducing one supporting character from the X-Universe would be a lot better than pointless multiple cameos like in the past

Have you guys seen Edge of Tomorrow? I wouldn't worry about the characters' look. The design, costume and armour work in that movie was beautiful. I think he'll pull off a suit which will be both film-like, and retain the comics' most important elements.

And like Deadpool for Ryan Reynolds, this is passion project for Channing Tatum. And just like Reynolds, he's producing, as well. I'm sure he'll do the character justice, both as actor and producer. I think we're in for another pleasant surprise.

I'm gonna get a lot of slack for this (my wife's a fan of the films), but watch the Magic Mike films. Then you'll get an idea of what Channing will probably look like for Gambit.

He has quite the chiseled jaw, face and body for both films. Not chubby at all.
