Sequels "Gambit" starring Channing Tatum? - Part 3

Thing is as much as I want a reboot of the X-Men, its unlikely to happen especially if the reason is to have Gambit in the team. But reboot or not, they should bring back the X-Men in the present days. Its just baffling that they are mia in the films and TV shows and are only stuck in the past with their younger version. Imagine if that were to happen to key Avengers in the films.

I think team with Colossus (from Deadpool), Gambit, rebooted Rogue (not Paquin), Psylocke, Bishop and Iceman in present could be cool. I would be open for rebooted Cyke, Jean and Emma in present too. I just don`t see Tatum near teen X kids from Apocalypse.

Cool that a lot of casting calls are planned for sequel.

Everyone has sequel deals built into their contracts. Doesn't mean they have plans for them, they'll just be exercised when needed.

Also, the characters have all been more or less rebooted already. Tye and co. will be in present day soon enough to mingle with everyone else. Keeping everyone in the present while waiting for the flagship to catch up is fine. (Though I think Splash Report said we'd be getting flashbacks and stuff for Gambit, so Gambit may also have a bit of time-jumping.)

It's fallen apart before. My take is wait for the start of filming. That'll be the safe point.

Venom has just started filming, apparently, and hasn't gotten a forum. Runaways airs on Hulu in less than a month and hasn't gotten one. I think Gambit should get one and I have faith this will get made, but I don't think there's harm in waiting a little bit longer.

Deadpool and X-Force Universe is the best way to reboot X line. Every character in Deadpool timeline can be rebooted without explanation. I hope Gambit and New Mutants are in Deadpool Universe and has nothing to do with First Class movies.

Personally i wouldn't rule it out that one or two of the OC might be seen again at some point but i don't think there is any strong dependency on them to come back.

Deadpool and X-Force Universe is the best way to reboot X line. Every character in Deadpool timeline can be rebooted without explanation. I hope Gambit and New Mutants are in Deadpool Universe and has nothing to do with First Class movies.

In that case, why keep exploring past and present characters separately? If they planned to reboot all the characters in the end (i.e. replace Paquin, Page, etc.), why not push everybody back into the 80s/90s, like they did with Angel? So, why not have teenage Rogue, Colossus, Iceman, Shadowcat running around in Dark Phoenix? It doesn't make sense to me to keep the two timelines unfolding simultaneously when we could have one.

Why would they just throw everyone into the same movie? That makes no sense, particularly when they're trying to focus on Scott, Jean, Storm and others. They're gradually reintroducing everyone with each decade jump, getting closer and closer to present day where the FC cast will have effectively replaced and "rebooted" all the OT actors.

They don't have two timelines unfolding simultaneously, they have one and we're just experiencing it different points and different characters are reintroduced now at different points.

And before someone chimes in and say "but there's no Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman"... Are you also missing New Mutants because of that. Anyway, the present day X-Men is wasted while Colossus is being utilized in Deadpool films, I prefer him to be utilized in an Uncanny X-Men film.

Heck, I'd be okay for another Jubilee, Psylocke, Emma and Angel retcon if that would mean they get to join the X-Men!

Funny enough it sounds like the reason why we didn't get the hellfire tv show is because they had an idea for several mutants they wanted involved but they couldn't figure out who was the center piece of the show since they felt they needed to have a slightly louder voice among the characters.

in terms of trying to throw in every character whose been an X-Man at some point in the comics and stick them all into the team that is alot to work with.

That's the thing they can but doesn't mean they plan on doing so.

The fact that the universe is so incoherent with continuity even in the present alone says a lot.

If they wanted to do a cross over event they could do it no matter where any of the characters are in the timeline.

I'd take any explanation for it to happen. Along with Wolverine and Psylocke we're getting close to my dream X-Men film. And can still have all these spin offs working too.

fox yes could easily do present day film with original cast minues jackman.with patrick stewart he has backtracked and open to being on legion or in deadpool sequel so if fox were to ask him to do another x-men doudtful he would say no.

but fox clearly won't do that.
