Me too. Cyke will never be a leader if he will look like teen near Tatum or Reynolds.

Haha, well I guess it depends how old the other members are and they could all grow into it but I'd most want to see Cyke as a bit of a veteran.

I'd take any explanation for it to happen. Along with Wolverine and Psylocke we're getting close to my dream X-Men film. And can still have all these spin offs working too.

I really hope Dark Phoenix will be the last of its kind. The X-Men could have a soft reboot in 2020. Like I don't mind recasting Wolverine, Storm and the other ot characters just so we could see the X-Men in the present again and headlining their own film. And no Raven, Erik and Peter.

fox yes could easily do present day film with original cast minues jackman.with patrick stewart he has backtracked and open to being on legion or in deadpool sequel so if fox were to ask him to do another x-men doudtful he would say no.

but fox clearly won't do that.

as for gambit if after solo film he comes part of team it would would likely be
x-force.

Likely to be X-Foce, I agree. But Gambit is an X-Man so I would like to see him with X-Men.

no to all "SOft reboot" talk.besides very good chance with casting notices
that belladonna won't be a one time film character.

now i know some want fox to pretend the 7 x-men films including dark phoenix
and three wolverine films didn't happen and treat deadpool as first x related films and only treat new mutants ,deadpool sequels,this film,and x-force as part
of official countiny but 2 problems

1-X-fox is making x-23 film which is followup to logan
2-if you want fox to make x-men films without wolverine only option is to contunie because if fox does what what your suggesting what makes you think
they wouldn't reboot wolverine with rest of characters.

remember in reboot madness of holywood the dceu batman came out 3 and a half years after the dark knight rises and mcu spider-man 2 years after amazing Spider-man 2 so idea fox wouldn't have new version of wolverine
3 years after logan especilly if they were to do what some want and reboot
X-men.

now depending on if dark phoenix is 2 parter i have my suspecion fox might recast younger wolverine for film with younger cast since that is direction fox
is going on.they could go longer without wolverine keeping x-men in 1990's and do more with x-23 but if they reboot i see no reason why they wouldn't have wolverine.and having cgi colossus in deadpool films is much different
than rest of x-men.

Give Wolverine a rest for a while. He's been used so heavily in these films and he had a perfect way out, so I think they should leave that character be while they focus on the other X-Men. With Logan gone this could really be an opportunity to build up Cyclops and the others.

New director... Yay? Not a terrible choice, but not an exciting one either. Fox's scattershot approach makes me curious, looking forward to a trailer.

I agree that there should be a strong preference for X-Force characters in any film X-Force lineup.

The next iteration of the main team, whenever it happens, can be huge if they allow it to use whichever characters they want at the right age. Fox are starting to nail things like Deadpool and Logan so maybe they have something like this in them in future to really recognise what they can do with this franchise. In the meantime I hope Gambit can be another solo hero done well by them.

Don't worrying they will continue to introduce new characters in the 90s, present-ish and 2029 Logan times so that should make you happy

It would probably be a project that would be in scripting stages for a long time, not to get it right but to find out that very answer.

That's why the hellfire show didn't get off the ground, they had a lot of characters but couldn't work out what was or who was the focus.

If someone has to be front and center, I guess its either Storm, Phoenix or Cyclops. Though I Aldo think it would mean more role for Kitty, Beast, Iceman and Rogue as well. Anyway, X1 to X4 were the Logan/Xavier show. So a X5 without those two could be very refreshing.

Shatterstar, Feral, Rictor, Boom Boom... These characters don't belong to the X-Men but X-Force and are far more deserving to appear in a X-Force film. While Angel, Psylocke, Colossus and Gambit should be in the X-Men.

So I just don't get why they can't feature him in a X-Men ensemble film. Do they even think the possibilities?

I need a Gambit trilogy. And I think if sequel will happen then Rogue will be in it.
Gambit solo don`t stop FOX from doing any X-Men ensembles movies.
