It makes sense that she is Bella Donna because they apparently already had it in mind to use her before and unless the rewrites scrap every idea they had planned i don't see why they would throw her out for gambit first movie and throw in a recast rogue instead.

They had rewrites for the film though, she could be playing Rogue and would be a dream casting decision.

As long as Chan was here though, I felt as if he was gonna will this into existence.

What it comes down to really is why did it take so long to get this thing going and why did they make changes to the script... was it expense? FOX and tatum not being able to agree on something?

I don't see multiple man appearing in Gambit now because that requires some communication between the gambit team and Multiple man team and that doesn't seem to be a thing they do with this series.

Its like say for example what if james franco wants to creative input in the solo and doesn't wanna appear first in gambit then should kinberg put pressure on them to have him in gambit or should they just blank that canvas and let them do whatever they want from get go?

Rogue is Gambit`s main love interest and in his origin he already has 1. No need to add Rogue here.

Your opinion, if they could give a good role to Rogue why not. And you are stereotyping Rogue as to only serve as Gambit's love interest. That shouldn't be her only purpose in a Gambit film.

And we don't know if the proposed script is gonna be the final version.

That's a long shoot, longer than DP2, NM and Logan. Hope the budget isn't too bloated, but I'm excited to see them ramp up and actually put New Orleans on film.

I am not falling for that until cameras are rolling. We had a shooting date before.

As for the difficulties, budget was originally a big issue. I think they were trying to trim the $130 million budget down.

The success of Logan and Deadpool I think encouraged them to take a lower budget approach, but also to retool the script.
