Sequels "Gambit" starring Channing Tatum? - Part 4

As far as I know yes, I just wanted to speculate on someone better.

We ALL would like to but rn it's a expectation vs. Reality dilemma.

Assuming Gambit ever gets used again does anyone else think Boyd Holbrook would make a good fit. I think he has the swagger down, and has shown some really good range.

And no I don't think at this point someone having already appeared in another superhero movie, even in the same extended franchise, is really a problem.

I've only seen him in that Wolverine movie so I don't think he looks the part.

Tatum has wanted this for so long. He even auditioned for X3. He’s proven to be a very capable actor in recent years. I’m glad he’s still devoted to this.

I doubt Disney would keep him once they got the rights Xpecially if they think he doesn't look the part.

I don't see why they wouldn't keep him. He has a lead actor's name value and wants to do it. And the actors seems to trump the directors in the MCU

Well first of all, what makes you think the casting people of Marvel Studios wouldnt want their own say on should play Gambit. Fox cast Channing, not Marvel Studios. So they have zero obligation to hire him as Gambit.

Channing has been pushing this for years and is aging out of the role. I would hope when Gambit makes his onscreen MCU debut, he isnt played by a 40 something. The character really should be closer to the mid 20s range. And I dont think Tatum is that big a name that he'd be kept regardless of where they want to go with the character. He's replaceable

This movie is never getting made at this rate.

Well, it took 10 years for Venom

Why does he deserve to play Gambit?

Supposedly because he used to pretend to throw Gambit cards around as a kid.

And he's from New Orleans, right? I might be wrong.

Channing Tatum was raised in Mississippi, but the pro sports teams from New Orleans would have been the local go to location for the fans and not Atlanta

Why does he deserve to play Gambit?

Because he was committed to that role for years. He is developing it and believes in this project. And never gave up on it.

He is a fan. And I am sure that he will be a good Gambit.

Mark Steven Johnson is a Daredevil fan. Paul Giamatti is a Rhino fan. Halle Berry is an Eartha Kitt fan. Oscar Isaac is an Apocalypse fan. Kinberg is a Dark Phoenix fan.

How did those turn out?
