GRRM actually said that [BLACKOUT]the Theon TWOW chapter[/BLACKOUT] takes place before the end of DWD. So that's still up in the air. [blackout]The pink letter might not be fake.[/blackout]

The style and manner of speech isn't Ramsay's style at all. I would say it is very clear the pink letter was written by: [BLACKOUT]Mance Rayder[/BLACKOUT]

It's a shame we won't get the Shrouded Lord from the books, and if we will it won't be the same character underneath the Hood.

Basically:

Aemon and Jon talk about leadership, and Aemon gives him the speech about how he has to kill the boy, and let the man be born. Pretty much word for word from the scene in A Dance With Dragons.

It's a Bolton family dinner, with Ramsay suggesting to Sansa that Reek should walk her down the isle since she has no one else. He's getting hyped up like an excited child. Roose shuts him by announcing that Walda is pregnant and that they think the child will be a boy. He does it all happily and cheerful for Sansa's benefit, but his underlining threat to Ramsay is basically to keep himself in line or he'll be replaced. Ramsay goes quiet.

Tyrion and Jorah are sailing down river......IN VALYRIA. There are a lot of ruins and a heavy mist, and Tyrion starts reciting a poem which Jorah actually knows and finishes in a really eloquent display. Tyrion says he'd clap his hands but they're tied. They seem like on relatively friendly terms. Drogon flies over and Tyrion stares in open shock, amazed by the sight, whereas Jorah looks on with a mixture of pride and sadness. Scene ends with a stone man standing up on the ridge behind them, looking like a weirdly inhuman thing.
This sounds so good. Sunday feels far away right now. :mrk:

Darth, check your P.M.'s.

As for the heinous act that Ramsay commits in episode 5, my guess is now that Ramsay is going to cut the fetus out of Fat Walda to ensure that he cant be bumped out of succession.

Don't think it'll be in Ep 5, if it was they'd have mentioned it in the Inside the Episode.

I thought Alfie said in an interview that it happened in episode 5? Tho that might have been the interviewer speculating. Either way I wouldnt draw any conclusions from them not mentioning it. Neither the Red Wedding or Joffreys death were discussed by D&D to the press prior to the episode airing.

This isn't a press thing though, this is a post-episode Inside the Episode where they discuss the events of said episode. And while they mention the power dynamics of the Bolton family, they don't even touch on anything like that. Which leads me to believe it doesn't happen yet,

Oh, thats a good point. I didnt know this was meant to come out after the episode had aired. How come these inside looks arent aired on HBO? Itd be nice if each episode was followed by a 5-10 minute breakdown hosted by D&D.

I'm not sure the exact scenario, but this thing was scheduled for the Sunday when the Ep came out. They usually have it put online via their YouTube page or website...but for whatever reason it's gotten leaked a full five days early. I imagine they've already done all of these things anyway, so it's a very real possibility that more may show up ahead of schedule. Basically HBO is the leakiest ship since the Titanic lol

:funny:

Did you see that the title of episode 9 was released early as well?

"Dance of the Dragons"?

Yep. I wonder if Drogon is going to bust his brothers out of their prison or if someone else will do it? I can't imagine that at this point anyone could get close enough to unchain them. But just for speculation who do you think might unchain them? I saw a commenter on Winter is Coming.com suggest Jorah.

If I'm really cynical about it then I'd say that maybe Grey Worm does it, and gets burned for his efforts, so that they could show a scene matching that book moment with Missandei nursing a dying Quentyn Martell. That to me seems like something that they'd do to get in another really, sad, shocking scene that would fit in with the love of tragic romances. That's what I'm leaning towards.

I'd really hate to see Grey Worm die in such a horrible way, but our pain and sorrow is like catnip to D&D so I wouldn't be surprised if they did that.

My hope is that some amazingly stupid Harpies get it in their heads that they are going to kill Dany's dragons so they sneak to the dungeon where the two are chained up while Dany is away at the pits. They step down into the darkness and one of the dragons leans forward out the darkness and then commences to roasting them. Then he sees the open door and melts his and his brother's chains and they burst through the doorway and they fly off to wreak havoc. This could be intercut with the Harpie's attack on the Pits.

I was kind of wondering why they'd specifically call the episode "Dance of the Dragons" , when in-universe that refers to the Targaryen civil war that nearly destroyed the dysntasy. It's possible they just chose it because it sounded cool, but there is a scene in GRRM's novella set during the Dance, where a crazed mob of citizens storm into the Dragonpit to kill the Targaryen queen's dragons that had been chained up in there, killing hundreds. Maybe they chose to the title to reference that scene, and maybe they have something similar happening with the Harpies. So you could be onto something.

What he said was that it would happen around the middle of the season. Read on if you want to know what:

From the latest spoilers, it's going to be him violently raping Sansa on their wedding night in episode 6 (filmed primarily with focus on Theon's face as he watches).

Do you have a source that confirms the rape? Sansa being raped has been pure speculation so far. I still think it is Ramsay cutting the fetus out of Fat Walda.

I've had those same spoilers passed onto me as well, though I don't know where exactly they're coming from. It's not just Sansa, there's stuff about episode 7.

Mind P.M.ing them to me? Please.

Watching these episodes makes me want to read the books again, but they are just so darn long.... :p
