And yea, Roose's absence was soo strange... I mean why even bother showing Ramsay...do nothing really... it served no purpose... Imagine replacing Ramsays scene with just a simple scene of Roose overlooking the remnants of the battle from Winterfells wall... no expression or anything...it would be perfect.

I was talking about in the finale... there was no Roose... just a random scene of Ramsay.

I'm just messing with you, lol... Earlier Asteroid-Man said he'd leave if Stannis was dead... they confirmed his deaths I said 'would you kindly leave'... now that i look at it, it looks like you might not of meant to quote the 'kindly leave part'... it was all just a joke :)

Yeah. I hadn't even notice that little part of the conversation. And hadn't even realised I'd quoted you twice. My main point was that interview statements that "confirm" a character's death are a touch unreliable at this stage as they wouldn't want to let the cat out of the bag so soon.

Yes, even a quick cut to Roose would've been fine. Especially since we get to see Ramsay proving himself as a battle commander. A look of fatherly approval or disgust at the Bastard's tactics.

I was really expecting Sansa to run into him.

the problem with Sansa going to the wall... it gives D&D a reason to top the awfulness of the Ramsay rape with a Night's watch ********.

I think they will start for the wall but will be hit with bad winter conditions and decided to go south. More likely to the Iron Born area.

Or you know, Melisandre needs some fellow redhead lovin'.

Sansa and Theon going to the Wall I assume means [BLACKOUT]Melisandre burns Theon and Sansa sends Davos after Rickon, before herself returning to the Eyrie.[/BLACKOUT] so it realigns with the books at least.

Thorn is a **** but I don't think he'd let that happen. He is at the very least honourable in regards to his responsibility to the watch.

Then again, the writers did decide to piss all over that character depth by having him be a part of FTW so who knows anymore. :o

thats what i am saying... they ****ed his honorable ways with FTW.

I was kidding you fools! Theres not going to be a wall gang bang :funny:

Nah the nights watch will be too busy being gang raped by the walkers and wights now that they killed the last stark at the wall which may be what keeps the wall magic up.

we wont be seeing the walkers again until season 9. so yea.

what i'd like to see happen.

episode 1
i hope to the old gods that they don't drag Jon's resurrection on for half the season. that **** should be sorted out by the end first episode. i'd like to see theon sansa and brienne arrive at castle black, before it happens, but i don't think they're wearing their air baelish's. (the red woman needs to find sansa some moon tea)

episode 2
should have him free of his vows and possibly stomping night's watch brains (not edd though) into the ground. I'm torn between having him straight up wrecking them or leaving them for the walkers. i don't think anyone really wants to give the walkers extra meat for their army. those mutinying *******s have some crow to eat though.

episode 3
the pink letter finally arrives and Jon decides to ride south with his wildling army. hopefully they run into sansa, brienne and theon.

episode 4
should have the vale's army arriving, basically, the bolton's are ****ed. wildlings to the north of thee, falcon's to the south, there they are stuck in in the middle with roose. i would like to think this is where littlefinger's ladder falls apart, but we're talking about littlefinger here. the actor who plays Yohn Royce will be back commanding the vale army most likely. maybe some northerners show up with robb's will, rickon etc...

episode 5 R+L=J (it would be really ****ing exciting if howland showed up, but i don't think he's going to be an in show character sadly)

episode 6
Jon thinks about going north to find bran but isn't sure. maybe theon and Jon have a moment...don't know.

episode 7
d&d start to hit us over the head with Jon x Sansa.

episode 8
n/a

episode 9
n/a

episode 10
the walkers breach the wall, and dany lands in westeros.

I am thinking the season starts immediately where it ended... so id assume by the end of the premiere UnJon is back.

I think it be fitting Sansa and reek arrive at the wall just as they are about too burn his body furneral wise. It would be fitting that someone who knew him was there who cared and we have Ghost coming up too them and he fallows them. I think a better thing would be too have allot of Ghost this season and he does odd things in protection of sansa. I think Mel will switch Jons body and use something to preserve his body a while or try to find john a simular body.

I haven't read it yet... but theres no way to fix the show from a book reading standpoint IMO... It's so ****ing hard to separate the two... im trying to find a middle ground and see the show as a completely different entity... but jesus its tough.

Well there was some very valid criticisms in the article like how they would be better off showing a bit more of the politics involved like they did in earlier seasons. One of the big things was to tone down the sexual violence in the show. Another I agreed with was making sure each character has an arc that makes sense instead of just shuffling all the characters arounnd from A to B just to serve the plot

But wouldn't you agree that this is a problem that's inherited by Books 4 and 5?

Interestingly enough, I'd said way back in Season 1 that it was a bad idea for the show to try remaining so faithful to book events in the first place. Firstly, it's to do with the quality dip post Book 3. Then, there's the fact that the book series itself remains unfinished and there was a very real risk that the show would catch up with the books. And lastly, when the inevitable time when the show must deviate from the books, neither the (book reading) audience are used to it nor are the writers up to task without having the book as a crutch.

The problem is, they've cut out everything cathartic or emotional from books 4 & 5, plus they've misinterpreted a few things in grievous ways and hurt a lot of characters' emotional arcs in the process. It went from being a show that didn't cheat to help it's heroes win, to being a show that cheats to help it's villains win.

I mean, i agree and all... but to blatantly butt **** characters and to just ruin storylines all together... its just wrong.
