I will say, that that sounds fairly reasonable. I really hope that it's true now TBH, but it probably won't be. My only worry (assuming it's true) is how they'll parcel up the many storylines throughout the 10 episodes, and it really makes me wish that HBO would let the showrunners run each season for 1-3 more episodes based on how much material that they have to cover. Don't get me wrong, it's still basically fan-fiction, but at least it sounds like entertaining fan fiction.

EDIT: Mel can't resurrect Jon by sacrificing Olly, since he doesn't have king's blood. But then again, this is D&D we're talking about.

Probably not. I think if she was coming back we would have gotten her by now. Every season since season three fans have been saying she was coming and that's probably all this is. A fan once again saying she is coming without having an ounce of evidence that she actually is.

Plus, there isn't any need for her to show up. Just send Arya after the Frey's.

Stoneheart will show up when Coldhands shows up...which is never. I made peace with D/D's decision; in fact, as much as I was disappointed Coldhands' plotlines were given to Jon, they executed the retribution at Craster's Keep so well that it evened out. The only decision of theirs I am not fond of is their super-elevation of Brienne : I liked that she took out the Hound,but Stannis too? It's like she keeps leveling up in an annoying rpg way. Next she'll fighting the Night's King. I knew that Stannis was going to die - especially because of the ash crown business-but, I wish he done so with a victory, instead of falling into a Blackwater 2.0. Again, it's makes sense, as D/D hate him.

For me, it isn't that Stannis died or anything. Its that the best commander in Westeros set his fractured army up in a big, open field in plain view of Winterfell and started setting up for a siege. Seems like you want to have some obstacles between you and your enemy.

I didn't even think his decisions made in the last episode were all that abrupt. Dillane's body language and demeanor when he went to Shireen told me he hated what he was about to do. And you can see it pretty clearly while Shireen's being burned, and again in episode ten.

Agreed. I don't agree with the showrunner's decision, but I never got the impression that Stannis WANTED to burn her, only that he felt he had to do it.

I'm glad we won't see Lady Stoneheart. Too many people coming back from the dead would cheapen the concept of death in this show.

Lady Stoneheart kind of side steps that. I mean she's a rotting, speechless walking corpse that has so little left of Catelyn that it's almost a different character, Pet Semetary style.

Can't say I'm too broken up by her being cut though.

The very purpose of her return is to show exactly how perverse it is. She isn't herself, too tortured, too trapped in the moment of her death. When Cat died, she was insane. Lady Stoneheart is the example of it.

I never got the sense that Jon was suppose to be changed by his death. Quite the opposite really. That is why everyone has bet on Jon warging into Ghost. So he keeps his mind, his soul.
