The Sand Snakes can blame Trystane's death on the Lannisters. Its a perfect setup for them if they still want war.

yeah and drogon and Dany left together... flew miles away... and Jorah and Daario just happened to pick the right direction to go in lol

and in the preview for next week... Ramsay and Roose are discussing marching on Castle Black... when literally the entire battle plan last season for the Boltons was not risking anything with the winter snows now here... lol this is just getting more and more sloppy the more i think about it

I think they mentioned in the season finale last year that Drogon was seen flying in that direction.

So not quite picked at random, but still incredibly lucky to come upon that spot.

I suppose Jorah could have suspected that the dragon would take her North of old Valyria since he witnessed it flying in that region last season.

But still... coincidental.

these writers are abysmal when they don't have grrm's plotting to guide them

i can't get over how tone-deaf the pacing was last season and how they butchered dramatic moments by making them resolve in such a convenient way

"stannis needs to suffer a military loss - twenty magic ninjas and a crazy guy oughta do it"

"oh we need stannis to die boom teleporting brienne"

"heyy how about theon and sansa escape... by jumping off a five-story parapet"

"lets drag out a dorne plot for no ****ing reason just to end it with a character no one cares about getting poisoned"

We'll have to see how it pans out, but in the episode itself that was more Ramsay's idea. If I were Roose and I wanted to be rid of Ramsay without having his blood on my hands, I'd sanction it and tell him to take his boys with him.

Dorne might get Aegon's Stormland conquest from the books. It seems like that's what they're setting up.

Call me oblivious but for such an obvious witch trope, I didn't see Melisandre being 324253 years old from a mile away.

I think Sansa and Theon jumping into the snow happened in the books.

It did... the snows are 20 feet deep... which adds to the stupidity of Ramsay wanting to march on Castle Black

McElhatton (Roose) has talked about being on the set of Castle Black

Interesting. Something else you can add to the inconsistencies, it doesn't look like winter at all in the Winterfell battle scenes from the trailers.

"The snows are coming"

*Less snow than last year*

Yeah, me neither. It really caught me off guard. And with her being around for such a long time (Carice states in an interview that she's around 400 years old) all that she has done has much more weight, imo.

And that scene was perfect. After being so confident in her profecy and religion, seeing her so devastated and vulnerable really resonated.

Roose trolling Ramsay may have been the greatest scene in the series :o

"Well... after this failure lets hope the maester was right and Walda is carrying a boy." trollolololol

Preview for next week.

I wonder what the ''King's orders'' are.

Why would they cut out Aegon just to give his entire plot to the Sand Snakes? Especially when they want it to end it sooner rather than later.

I'm ready for Ser Strong to start breaking Sparrows. Looking forward to Jaime and Cersei getting their revenge.

@Roose: Last season they had Ellaria wanting Doran to go to war against the Lannisters. Now that Ellaria will have presumably taken control of Dorne without opposition from the other houses (we'll probably get a throwaway line or two about this house and that goosestepping to Ellaria's every command) and can blame Trystane's death on the Lannisters, D&D have that option on the table. They may well wait and have Dany land in Dorne, then have her begin her conquest from there; again, its all speculation, but I think its in line with D&D's thought process when it comes to the material.

a lot of teleporting this episode... the bolton men and hounds can also jump over rivers without problem

Lancel Lannister's death is going to be extremely satisfying.

Can't wait to see that pompous twit turned blind fanatic ripped in half.

I agree. That one scene literally gave 4 seasons of her scenes more gravitas.

The trolling scenes and Ramsay's reaction shots are what makes Roose Bolton one of my favorite characters. It's like you know deep down, Roose is geeking out when he dishes out the condescension.

Roose throws more shade than the wall.

its jarring that there are some characters who wander and travel for whole tv seasons and then there are other characters who pop around the world willy nilly
