the stand off doesn't even make sense considering Davos and co have given no reason to be defending a dead body.

They'd have no reason to suspect anything other than grieving was going on. Maybe there would've been more weight behind it, if they'd kept Pyp and Grenn around.

I know. I thought they were going to give a reason, though it seems they are going with them wanting to kill who is ever in that room just because they are Jon supporters.

But there is still no indication they were Jon supporters... all they did was what... someone was going to eventually do and move the body... why to a room? no reason given.. it was vague as **** to set up for the [blackout]resurrection[/blackout] instead of flat out having Davos saying Mel could do it.. just more poor writing an story structure.

I am not disagreeing with you. It is bad writing. But I was trying to see the internal logic of the episode. Anyone who isn't in that room I guess can be trusted. All I know is I can't wait for the Wildings to show up. It better happen next week. Can't take this crap much longer.

Are they really? Like I said, no Pyp or Grenn, only Dolorous Edd. None of the other guys where recognisable at all. And there was angry Jon suppourters in the mess hall too.

It prob won't be until episode 3... Next episode has Bran back in the picture so that will probably be the main northern focus other than the bit about Ramsay wanting to march on castle black. if there is something going on at the wall it will be about Mel since the twist ending.

i only say it because they really like milking this jon snow ****.

ignorant writing and story structure... so many brothers saw Hardhome and WHY it was necessary to do what Jon did... yet they randomly start to agree with Alliser and stop causing outbursts in the meeting? eesh... just bad. I guess we are to assume the only people who were at Hardhome were in that room.

and Jon is lord commander, why was ghost even locked up

edit... that little **** ollie probably did it lol **** that kid

Yeah, exactly, they KNOW the others are coming, 90% of the Watch went to Hardhome and fought them. It's not like it was a handfull of Night's Watch that went and investigated Hardhome after things had gone rough, they did full on battle with them.

so is the first ep of this season worth watching or is it just stupid s*** like last season

The Dorne plot is going to terrible places.

Sand snakes murdering their Uncle and Nephew is so out of character when it came to Oberyn's and Doran's plans.

Jesus christ....

We will avenge the death of Oberyn... by killing his brother, nephew and leaving his kingdom in ruins.
They avenged the death of Oberyn, his sister and her children, by killing his brother and his children.

Thorne wants to murder them all, it was established with Davos' dialogue that he's tried to avoid men like Thorne, when Davos asks "will i get some mutton my ol' chap" the silence speaks volumes that Thorne was just lying on the spot and hadn't even put much thought on his lies.

I know what you mean, but Thorne would have no reason to want them dead. There was no conspiracy, just 4 guys grieving over Jon's body. There was more danger in the mess hall.

They are basically Jon supporters because they are in the room. I do not disagree that it is stupid.

They showed them breaking down the door in the trailer. It better happen next week. :argh:

I liked the scene where Theon's hugging Sansa. You think back to his scenes from season two with Maester Luwin, him executing Ser Rodrik, and then everything that's happened to him since then...it was very touching.

That was my favorite moment as well.

and they showed that his hand was missing a finger in that scene... his torture was bad... but not as bad as the books... mentally and physically he's much worse than the show

“Septa Unella can be a little over-zealous sometimes” is probably the understatement of the week!

Not true.

There's still one Baratheon (Gendry) and 8 Martells (the Sand Snakes) hanging around.

Gendry is still rowing :cwink:

Poor old Alexander Siddig got short changed.

Drogon bailed on his mom.

Ramsay fed Myranda's corpse to the dogs and she is the only person he seems to actually like!

anyone else notice the picture quality was better? more crisp like UHD.. but not 4k obviously... it was just cleaner looking to me.

That is true, but for the tv casuals it is good enough reason for Thorne to murder "false believers" who don't believe in Thorne's power, it might not happen today or tomorrow, but in a year's time someone might avenge for Jon Snow's murder.

I'm not saying this is good writing, but this is how casuals see it.
