The Iron Throne has shown itself to him. Gnarled and gray... and spiteful of anyone who would find happiness under it's rule. He's through seeking anything from it except it's departure from his Iron Islands.

They took everything from the Ironborn. Then they call Euron a monster? The moment he accepts that Lannister pardon, the moment that he asks for one, he proclaim's to the world that they were right. This ends when Euron grants them his forgiveness, not the other way around.

So they gave a reason for the Umbers to be against the Starks now... a reason that doesn't make much sense but whatever.

What reason is this Reek? Didn't the Umbers also get betrayed at the REd Wedding? Is it the hostage thing?

Apparently it is because Jon Snow is a 'Stark' who allowed the Wildlings into the north and the Umbers are worried about their lands...like i said it is kind of stupid IMO.

I don't think poor Rickon is making it out of this season alive. Those poor Stark kids.

I'm glad to see Sue's people addressing this topic. There's...one aspect of the violence, in particular, that I didn't especially care for. It simply wasn't done as well as in the books and didn't touch of the overall themes as well as it did in the books. It is, in fact, more a criticism of plot elements than anything else.

I find it astounding that I could pick up on the ideas and themes that the show is conveying through its use of violence...yet it seems entirely lost on others that can't look at it all from an analytical perspective and see how it all fits together to give you the big picture:

The system in Westeros is broken beyond repair, rotting and gangrenous...and creatures like Ramsay are the symptoms of the system's sickness.

pic of jon from tonight...

The resurrected Jon Snow is now a servant of evil.

All you people wishing he was alive are going to regret wanting him back.

Remember what that other priest said. Every time someone comes back from the dead, they lose something a little more coming back.

Yea but that was after 7 times lol... i think after one time he wont be much different... maybe just loses his soft spot for people.

also.. major spoiler... Jon comes back... spanks ollie and sells him to the brothel meryn trant died in... then jon goes back to dead.

It was all just a clever jape by D&D.

Also.. Samwell Tarley get's injected with venom and becomes a jacked specimen of a man... Dumping Gilly for not being hot enough.

George RR Martin doesn't like it when characters are resurrected and they are almost "better" than they were before. He wants characters who are resurrected to lose something when they come back from the dead. Like the resurrection has done something bad or terrible to them.

Maybe a Jon Snow who's been resurrected isn't as nice or kind a Jon as before.

Jon will be fine. My money is on him being a bit out of it after waking up, plus he is probably reliving what those traitors did. Traitors who need to be punished. Also Jon doesn't strike me as liking being seen as a God.

That would go against Martin's idea of resurrection being almost a corruption of sorts for characters.

Which is exactly why he built up a set of circumstances in the book that would bring Jon back without losing himself. There are exceptions. The hero of the story is probably one of them.

Bookwise, Jon's dreams indicate that he'll return as a more vicious character. More decisive may be a better word.

You're not a Victarion... I've seen your pecker... What kind of Victarion would have a pecker that small?

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

best scene ever

Maybe killing the child and giving birth to the man in Game of Thrones is not such a good thing. It's what makes men cruel.

The betrayal will harden him. No more "nice guy" with fools.

Is there a word filter I'm unfamiliar with?

That's where Aryas plot should have started this season.

Yeah that's why he
gathers an army and goes to free the North from the Boltons and attempts to save his little brother. Pure evil stuff right there.:o

Cat came back evil because of the nature of her death. She'd just watched all she loved slaughtered and an insatiable thirst for bloody vengeance was her driving force when she returned. Beric was brought back multiple times and never turned evil. He lost bits of his soul and would have likely been a soulless shell had he kept resurrecting but losing your soul entirely doesn't necessarily mean he would have been evil. He might have simply been left a comatose empty body once his soul was entirely gone.

We have no reason whatsoever to think Jon will become some evil fiend.

When Cat died, she was already insane. She lost her mind seeing the horrors.

Tonight was another 8/10. Tyrion needs to do plot things now.
