Are we comparing Stannis to the rest of the men of Westeros?

The Kingsguard is there because they are protecting the prince's heir. People, Jon is legit. The books scream it.

Stannis was an example of other characters being surprised.![]()
I was joking. My point was that Stannis saw Ned in a different way then others, because they had some similarities in how they felt about honor, rules, etc. I think it probably never sat well with Stannis, like he knew without knowing, if that makes sense? Same for Petyr, though for different reasons.Stannis was an example of other characters being surprised.![]()
I think so. In the books a few characters express surprise Ned fathered a bastard because it was entirely out of character.
It's Jon, he isn't a bastard. He is a legit dragon, but I think he will choose to be a wolf. Because that is his true nature. His features betray that. Better a bastard wolf, then a legit dragon.Yeah... IF it's Jon... some humorless people around here might disagree and get ********.
Or simply the mad king was mad so he lost a lot of his kingsguard loyalty... going to rhaegar... simple enough

Good lord i should whip you.
Which is why he isn't breaking his oath. He is protecting a prince and the wife of the heir apparent. If I remember correctly, Aerys and Rhaegar are dead at the point of the Tower of Joy, which would mean that Jon is actually the king. So they are right where they belong.Aye, but it would take a lot for a Kingsguard to not only cease his loyalty but to break their oath.
We know through Selmy and Jaime how much that oath means between their admissions of standing idly by while horrific acts were committed and Selmy's still apparent disgust at Jaime's oath breaking.
For Dayne, supposedly the most chivalrous Knight in all of the seven kingdoms, I would have thought his oath meant just as much to him, and wouldn't have been broken lightly regardless of how insane his King was.
Those still exist? Even when they set up the return of Jon to come at the same time as they tell the story of the Tower of Joy?I know.. I was just jabbing the 'R+L=D' crew.

Who is this clearly wrong person?Yea... i got put on ignore by one of them lol
