R+L=J.

We don't need Star Wars of Thrones. :o

Robert wasn't at the Tower of Joy. He was fighting Rhaegar.

I'm not too concerned with the when R+L story is as much as I am whether or not it will be known to people... How does Bran get that news out lol

Hopefully he can communicate with Jon somehow. Maybe visit him in a dream.

The person with Ned(his #1 guy with him) is Howland Reed, i think...considering he is the last survivor to know the truth other than Bran and 3ER

Howland coming forward is the best idea. Although Meera was just told that Bran will need her when they return to the world so he may be conveying his visions to people when he gets back.

The guy on his left looks like a young Robert. Maybe they changed it. Has Howland even been mentioned in the show? I cant remember.

Yes... Jojen talks to Bran about him... It's senseless to have Robert in that scene though, not saying you are wrong, but if it's him...shame on D&D.

Now that I really think about it there is no way they could have made that change without breaking the established narrative in the show. Robert thought Jon was Ned's bastard. If he had been at the Tower of Joy he'd know Ned got Jon from Lyanna. So its gotta be Howland there with Ned.

Yeah, zero sense in Robert being there. He'd know who Jon was, and the whole point of hiding Jon's identity is so Robert doesn't kill him.

yea... i dont even know where the BS story of Ned's "bastard" came from lol you'd think Robert would be around 90% of the time

Where there was Dayne's sister. I think it was "easy" for most to believe, as most men didn't seem to mind having sex with any woman they came upon. They applied their own ways to Ned. That includes Robert.

Robert seemed rather surprised by it if IIRC

Young Robert? You are probably right. Everyone did see Ned as Mr. Honorable. To a fault. And few knew him better then Robert.

I find it strange that Arthur Dayne has a "Targaryen armour" instead of the traditional Kingsguard one....

Sorry for my bad english. 😋

My guess is that the show made a decision there to empathise Dayne's loyalty to House Targaryen rather than to the crown. How else could you logically explain a Kingsguard defending a woman that the prince supposedly kidnapped and raped rather than being at the King's side? I don't think the Mad King would give that order to one of his best men while a war is going on, he's not that selfless. :cwink:

The answer is probably that Dayne does it out of loyalty and love for his prince and best friend, Rhaegar Targaryen.

well in episode 2 of season 1 (i remember because its one of my favorite scenes that ****ed up a huge opportunity for the book readers)... Robert was still 'surprised' acting about the 'wench who made Lord Eddard Stark forget his honor'...

I say they ****ed up the scene because in the books Ned and Robert go off riding through the wilderness together talking... would have loved to see that.

Just watched the scene, Robert isn't shocked. He actually gives Ned an extra conquest, that actually belongs to himself. He tells Ned that he was always too hard on himself. Is it different in the book? I haven't read it in a while.

Or simply the mad king was mad so he lost a lot of his kingsguard loyalty... going to rhaegar... simple enough

i didn't say he was shocked... 'surprised' in quotes because he said 'must have been quite the woman to make you forget your honor' insinuating 'hey its kind of surprising you did that.'

The Kingsguard is there because they are protecting the prince's heir. People, Jon is legit. The books scream it.

Ah, I get your point. I see that more as Robert wondering how incredible hot this woman was. :funny:

Nah, definitely surprise, plus I believe it gets mentioned by other characters, like Stannis that Ned having a bastard was entirely uncharacteristic.
