I'm not saying Stoneheart is happening...but why would Bran's vision give us images related to ice and fire, then throw in some of Catelyn from the Red Wedding?

Because they brought up the Red Wedding again with the plot in the Riverlands.

I know some of you are Dany fans... but that scene was terrible.

last episode ... Euron: Build me a thousand ships!

this episode ... Daario: We will need a thousand ships! no one has that many...

Dany: not yet!

BLEH x200.

For me, I think the scene was bad because it was just another one of those scenes where the dragons do something or in this case just show up, Dany makes a big speech about how she's going to be queen and then the masses cheer for her. She's definitely not a good leader as we've seen in Meereen and she keeps burning all her enemies. She has more in common with the Mad King then she likes to admit. [BLACKOUT]I would actually be fine with all of this if that happens though. Isn't that one of the theories with the book readers or no?[/BLACKOUT]Plus, Drogon was missing for 6 episodes and then completely out of random Dany finds him.

I don't know why, something felt off about the ending of the episode and the speech.

And that line about the 1,000 ships 2 episodes in a row is either an oversight when filming scenes out of order or just silly.

'Right! The only remaining ingredients to this voodoo death spell that will save the world are 4 Dimetrodon eggs and 3 snakes from Medusa's hair. Just a shame both of those are extinct/dead.' :csad:
Across the Narrow Sea:
'Hey, what's that you're about to throw away?'
'Ah, it's just some old crap from my granddaddy's chest of trinkets he left me, 4 Dimetrodon eggs and 3 snakes from Medusa's hair.'
'Well that certainly is a load of utter crap but you may as well hold on to them for your grandpoppa's sake.' :yay:

Major Finale spoilers

I wonder how King's Landing will react when
they find out Cersei and Frankenmountain killed the High Sparrow, the other Sparrows, and the queen, and that the King killed himself? The people seemed happy that the crown is uniting with the Faith.

Y'all think we are going to see a full uprising against Cersei?

This question is extremely out of context but if Littlefinger loved Cat so much, why did he barely react to her death?

I was called an idiot and a dumbass for saying it was silly lol

well on the bright side, between the Depp thread and the episode 6 thread that most things got deleted... at least we know we can call people 'patheric', 'idiots', and 'dumbasses' without consequence.

If Stoneheart isn't happening, the writers are virtually trolling the audience at this point.

Let's look at the evidence:

  • The Riverlands are suddenly brought back into the mix after three seasons of absence
  • Brienne, Jamie, and Pod (all of the key players in the Stoneheart storyline) are being sent to the Riverlands
  • The Frey's are reintroduced in a scene that literally serves no purpose other than saying, "Hey! Remember us and how we killed Rob and Cat Stark!?"
  • The Brotherhood Without Banners were mentioned to be raiding Frey convoys in last night's episode
  • An image of Catelyn being killed was interjected into an otherwise unrelated vision
  • Ian McShane is playing an as of yet unidentified and unintroduced character who brings a popular character back from the dead

Am I forgetting anything?

This is quite a bit of circumstantial evidence. It feels a helluva a lot like the table is being set for the character and storyline. This is too much to be unintentional nor do I believe the meticulous, detail oriented writers of this show would do it unintentionally. Either Stoneheart is coming or the writers are trolling the hell out of the audience.

Which book is Stoneheart from? Also how big a role does Blackfish play in what is left of the books to date?

Stoneheart came in A Storm of Swords - in the epilogue. I think Blackfish was involved in the A Feast for Crows Riverlands chapters. Its all fallout from the red wedding, those chapters.

Matt, they're also bringing back Thoros of Myr.

Thanks. I hope we see more from him then from the unwritten books (assuming he doesn't die).

The potential for Lady Stoneheart showing up has somewhat resurfaced with all the Catelyn Stark imagery and related discussions in the episode. It's very late in the game to reintroduce her but it could happen.

In the books, she's only dead for a few days... in this case, unless she's been going around for the past year or so doing her thing, its way too late to bring her back... storywise and logically.

Resurrecting her will take away from Jon being special (show wise)... I hate it because I want LS as much as the next person.

Entirely possible.

To be fair as well, we've also had Beric Dondarrion and The Mountain (who technically wasn't dead but was in a way) come back to life, so resurrection has applied to just more than Jon. Plus we're likely going to have The Hound come back from what seemed like death plus the return of Benjen who was on the brink of death by the sounds of it.

Resurrection is one of the key themes this season so I can see it going up a notch.

Well...

Beric is still the leader of the Brotherhood in Season 6

Apparently it's a different actor playing Beric too, and he's less...whole.

I think what happened with Coldhands will happen with Lady Stoneheart. The spirt of the character will be in the show in the form of another character that will appear later in the season.

[Blackout] The Hound [/blackout]

Michelle Fairley just had a role confirmed on a new Starz TV series so that wouldn't line up very well for Thrones potentially.

In the books does LS come back and unleash a wave of revenge and then disappear or is she still around?

She comes back and goes around hanging anyone remotely involved with the Red Wedding. Still is.
