They showed their rescue and adoption because it happened in the book and season 1 stayed close to the book. And the farewell scene was shown to explain why the wolf was gone and why Lady would be getting the axe. But they have since dropped all of the Arya Nymeria stuff. They clearly do not care about the Arya Nymeria relationship.

The only thing the direwolves are there to do now is to signify loss. Nymeria signified loss when she was sent away. They won't bring back a budget sucking direwolf when that direwolf's role in the shiw was finished 5 seasons ago. They barely want to spend the time and budget on Ghost. They didn't even feature him in the Battle for Winterfell, because they needed to use that budget for the three dragons. Do you really think they are going to take away more budget for a second direwolf? No,Ghost is the only direwolf that you will be seeing, and he will probably die before the end so they can dedicate more of the vfx budget to the dragons.

They didn't use CGI for Nymeria, that was a Northern Inuit Dog. Theyre already calling back to other parts of the earlier seasons. I guess you could have said that they didn't care about Beric and Thoros for a few seasons, until they did, so that doesn't stand as any kind reason for not bringing her back. They're going to pull off as many reunions as they can before it's over including that one. She's one more living survivor of the Stark family.

They used real dogs for all the Direwolves in season 1, but they ditched that method because no normal dog can grow to the size of a small horse or be utilised in action sequences that the story requires. If Nymeria were to return, she'd be CGI.

• Tormund kills SmallJon Umber, the biggest **** ever.

Cons

• Dany wins her battle on easy mode, burning 1 ship.
• The Ironborn pop-in and get an alliance. We can't see them blockade the master's ships to further force their surrender?
• Jon took Ramsay's bait and leaves Rickon's body on a field to be trampled and pelted with arrows.
• Littlefinger and the Vale bailing them with the Manderlys doing nothing.

I enjoyed Tyrion's lines about the Mad King and checking off specific locations of where the Wildfire is stashed in King's Landing!

Tyrion seemed uncharacteristically butt hurt over Theon being mean to him. I thought he generally didn't give a **** about people trying to hurt him unless it's family trying to do it. Wear what you are Jon Snow and no one can hurt you and all that.

They would do it like they do Ghost. A mix of real dog and vfx. To pull off Ghost they film the dog, most likely against a plate, and composite him into the frame and make him larger than he actually is. That process and the vfx artist work hours and the computer processing time eats up resources and budget. Thats why we dont see Ghost much.

Yeah I did as well Tyrion went out of his way to bring Bran that saddle brace in season 1 then for him to hear theon may have killed him got him into **** this guy mode
