Game of Thrones - Book Readers' Thread

So is this show ever getting it's own section? I'd like to discuss things from the books.

Things like theories about [BLACKOUT]Jon Snow's parents[/BLACKOUT]. Even thought I'm pretty sure I've got that one figured out.

It would seem the mods are ignoring us or don't realize how large this universe is. Really irks me when the Netflix marvel shows have their own sections and those shows haven't even begun yet. But this show that is the most successful show HBO has ever had, is in its fourth season with 2 more confirmed, has 5 novels with 2-3 more on the way, side novels set in the universe, comics, and graphic novels, and an expansive history can't get it's own section. It's complete BS.

I think they don't usually create new sections even for popular properties unless there are comics that have come out for it. If GoT has had comics and graphic novels then it might be worth using that angle if you're trying to convince an admin to create a new section.

It's got no superheroes or comics. Should we have a section dedicated to the now canceled tv show Community? I dug that. I'd like to hang out in the Abed sub forum. Get into arguments about whether Britta is secretly racist. Maybe do some cool Slash Fiction with the Dean and Pierce's corpse in the Fan-Fic sub forum.

No. Nobodies gonna bother with all that. Make some threads and put them in the proper places. Besides, do you really want to attract GOT fanboys? It's bad enough with the Bat boards and you wanna add a whole new kinda crazy? Fantasy crazy? Well I don't. :o

Not saying a GOT forum wouldn't be cool, but do you know what goes on in this thread during the off season? From July to March it's pretty empty save for DVD/Blu-ray news and when the first trailer rolls around in January. It's pretty bare.

I kinda doubt this show will get its own section. There's going to be a lot of new forum sections created soon, I suspect, when WB announces its DC universe lineup... space will be devoted to those, not stuff like GOT.

I think there's a few thousand gifs posted though lol.

Yeah, people cry out for a section when the show is on air but the rest of the time this thread is pretty much forgotten.

Don't be a smart ass about this. It does have comics and graphic novels. There is plenty of material and discussions to warrant it's own section. Don't believe me check out http://asoiaf.westeros.org

A Song of Ice and Fire has more right to a section than damn Star Trek. Which I might add is practically a ghost town.

I hope my HBO Go doesn't crash like last time with True Detective. ;nd

I agree. Star Trek shouldn't have a section either. :o

Dirty stinkin' Trekkies.

Is episode 10 not showing up on HBO Go for any of you?

edit: nvm it's up.

Checked the ending on Xfinity. So they are saving that for next season. :argh:

Only 30 minutes in & that happens. At least its not the ending

Locking up those dragons is gonna end badly no doubt
