Regarding the lack of...

Lady Stoneheart. I, too, was a bit disappointed that she didn't appear at the end, because, given how she appears in the epilogue of A Storm of Swords, I assumed she would appear at the end of this episode, too. But then when thinking about it some more, and reading some commentary on it elsewhere, I began to realize:

It was because it so assumed it would happen at the end of this episode that it was not included.

Furthermore, as was hinted in that EW interview with Alex Graves, Lady Stoneheart is part of the whole subplot of the Brotherhood Without Banners hunting down and killing member of the House of Frey as revenge for the Red Wedding--and none of the Freys or the BWB appeared at all during this season. That's because, being that this is an adaptation of the second-half of ASOS, they don't appear in those chapters until the epilogue of that book. So while it would've been cool to see the epilogue in this episode, it terms of telling a narrative for this particular season, it would've been out of place.

However, we know that the BWB going after the Freys is much more prominent in A Feast of Crows. Not to mention both Brianne's search for Sansa and Jamie's self-imposed exile from King's Landing also wind up getting mixed in with that subplot in that same book--and it's obvious that season 5 is going to adapt that book along with A Feast of Dragons. That's where we're more likely to see Lady Stoneheart.

And all this speculation that Lady Stoneheart could be cut entirely? I doubt it. After all, we've already been introduced to Thros of Myr and see that he can resurrect the dead. We also know that, in order to properly dispense justice against the Frey's, the BWB need a witness to the Red Wedding, of which Lady Stoneheart is.

So my prediction is that, at the start of next season, Game of Thrones will have a scene from episode 1 or 2 of next season showing Petyr Frey being captured by the Brotherhood Without Banners. Then we'll get another scene where Walder Frey gets winds of this and Merrett Frey volunteers to pay the ransom. Then finally, at the end of that same episode, we will see the epilogue for AFOC. Thus, it sets up one of the narrative arcs for that particular season, culminating in Brianne being captured and Jamie lured into a trap.
I agree with this entire premise. I mentioned it last night. The timing doesn't quite work out, as the character would probably have to disappear for a while, and none of the other characters were really in place for the reveal or the storyline. After last night, it made sense. But it has to happen. If it doesn't, it will be the first time this show has done something that I completely disagree with.

Well unlike the rest of Westeros, the Andals werent able to drive magic out of the far North. So the further North you go in Westeros the more fantastical it will become.

And that wasnt child that killed those skeletons.
They are called The Children of the forest because they look like children, but they arent actually children. They can be hundreds of years old, but they dont grow any larger than a child.
Exactly. Just consider where the White Walkers come from. You know, the ones that can raise the dead.

I was confused by that too. What's the point of keeping him alive until next season?
Well one, to bring up the poison. Second, it depends on whether you think he or the Hound are actually dead. Many believe they are still alive.

There's also the possibility that [blackout]he is that big ass knight in the white armor that shows up later.[/blackout]

I mean, why would they point out that whats his face is experimenting on him if nothing ever becomes of it?

I don't think a lot of people will remember that happening. It wasn't a particularly major event so I think they needed to add some clarification this season

Ah yes, well I think it was a nice surprise and it's good that they didn't touch on it. Even though the recap actually showed that Season 3 climax stuff for Stannis lol.

He most definitely is, just like how the [BLACKOUT]Hound[/BLACKOUT] is the [BLACKOUT]gravedigger[/BLACKOUT].

The German word for Strong is "Stark".

[blackout] It'd be interesting if Robert Strong is a Frankenstein like combination of Gregor, Robert Baratheon, and Robb Stark pieces. [/blackout]

Man, I know you're the Lord of The North and all, but you and your bastard son are too weird for me. :o

You just need a good Leeching. Makes everything seem clearer.

lol yeah. "Oh, mommy's favorite killed a three year old and ran off? Guess it's time for us to get chained up in a basement. Yaaay."

They're dragons. Flying death machines. And Drogon's indiscretion was a reminder to Dany that she ultimately has no idea how to control them as they get larger. Those secrets were lost hundreds of years before she was born. Hence the precautions.

I don't like wine - woman's drink. I like blood leech soup, though. Father makes it the best!

Oh, I'm well aware, I'm just pointing out that she plays favorites. :o

I loved the final episode Millesandre seeing Jon through the smoke and fire was a great piece of visual foreshadowing.

Oh the book readers are being obnoxious again? Cool. Cool cool cool...

I'm not a book reader, so I'm hoping that some of you could give me your perspective on Stannis from the book compared to how he is portrayed in the show.

I actually really like Stannis, but I feel like he is given the short end of the stick when it comes to his story arc. He feels like he is a better leader than how he is shown in the TV show. Seems like he lets others talk for him many times and he seems like a good person, but it really isn't shown either.

Thank you in advance!

Well, In my opinion, they've handled Stannis in a rather... light way.

For example, the show has been clearly made it like Melisandre is evil and he controls Stannis completelly. And in the book, Stannis just uses Melisandre's "control" over her fanatics in order to gain followers and use them for his cause.

Also, in the books, I got the impression that Melisandre is not evil at all, but a truly fanatic, and purist devotee of her god. Which, in a way, will make her seem evil, because every extreme is bad. (Example: the catholic church during medieval times)

Another example of how showStannis is underdeveloped is when, at season 3 finale, Melisandre convinces Stannis to go North and aid the Watch, whereas in the book, Davos is the one who COUNSELS Stannis to go to the wall.

Also, Stannis in the show wants the crown because he is the heir.Period.

In the books, Stannis wants it both because of being the heir but also because of respect to Robert, to Ned and Jon Arryn. Also he can't stand injustice. By all means. (Hence the phrases "Stannis is Iron, he breaks before he bends")

Im sorry for the long post and for my english,it's not my prime language and I'm actually very ill so maybe there are some sentences that doesn't make sense potatoes.

makes me somewhat glad The Walking Dead forum isn't like this anymore.

Gawd, that would be a disaster. GOT only makes little alterations here and there, TWD is pretty much a full-on parallel universe to the comic at this point. The b****ing would never cease.

Dont know if its been discussed, but the finale's score was :up:. Ramin just keeps knocking it out the park.
