I still wouldn't blame graves. Also wanting more nudity isn't the same as wanting more rape. None of this would be a issue if D&D had just stuck to the source material in regards to most of the northern plotlines.
 
One more thing,

They shouldn't have been afraid of going in a completely different direction than the books (I mean more so than usual lol). I think the show could have worked if they had completely shed the political maneuvering in order to focus entirely on the battle against the White Walkers. Yes, it would have became more like LotR or other fantasies, but they would have avoided a lot of plot holes and nonsensical decisions. It was just a bad idea to try to go back to the politics after the Night King's defeat when they already cut down so many political plot lines in nonsensical ways for the battle against the dead.

It was too jarring for the whole show to only have a couple of episodes to deal with that whole Iron Throne plot line, so soon after dumping the White Walker plotline. I don’t think GoT should have ended like a classic fantasy myself, but it needed time whatever it wanted to do. So much buildup and so little payoff. I don’t think that complaint can be attributed to other franchise endings like RotK (3 hours), DH (2 films) and Endgame (3 hour runtime). The equivalent for me with GoT would be to do everything you want, and then one whole season to finish the White Walker storyline, with the defeat being a season finale event. And then the same again for resolving the Iron Throne storyline.
 
My thing is, how did the WW return tho??? Unless that's the stinger for the prequel series. But I still don't think that's an excuse to NOT explain it in the mainline show.

Imo they could have had their cake and eat it too if they had just tied the WW into the Iron Throne conflict.

I think it's pure abandonment as the Sansa storyline in season 5 is one of the bigger abominations of the show. It doesn't just subvert the idea that she's in power, it regresses the character back into the exact same type of victim role as she had been in for almost the entire show. It's repetitive and redundant. As for being in a more powerful position, when has the story ever given the indication that more power means no problems? What was needed was for Sansa to have new problems to deal with, so she could actually develop as a character.

It's also not just Sansa that was affected by this as it completely sacrificed Littlefinger's character as well. Selling Sansa to the Bolton's is pretty much one of the last things he'd ever do. After that point he just wasn't himself and he was irrelevant. He acted contrary to both his emotional and intellectual motivations and in the end he died as an idiot. Characters losing their intellect has been common after the books ran out though.

Also one more thing lol, You think the proud houses of Hightower and Redwyne (arguably the 2 strongest houses that aren't lord-paramount level) are going to stand by and watch the Reach be given to a low-born sellsword just because the Imp thinks cock jokes are funny?

Bronn would be dead within a week.

Then there's Yara, Yara was slighted by not being appointed Master/Mistress of Ships. If Bran wasn't going to allow the Iron Islands to be independent, then he should have thrown them her a bone by naming her to the Small Council. Since Yara's going to return to the islands with no reward from the service to Dany, I imagine she'd need to lead the Greyjoy Rebellion 2.0 just to rebuild here reputation with her lords and captains. And within a decade I see that happening.

I don't see how this ending is going to work for Westeros. The more I think about it, it's just....ugh lol
 
What about those white Walker babies tho? Wasn't there supposed to be a big reveal in regards to that. I clearly remember D&D (or somebody) saying something about that.

Well, I mean, Hightower and Redwyne basically don't exist in the show, so... :o

Bronn ruling The Reach is something I think could have worked if it had been given time to develop, but they just threw it out there with no context. Also, the complete ejection of House Hightower and all the interesting mysteries of Oldtown frustrates me SO much whenever I think about it. Just one of so many great things we never got to see because D&D got bored.

Yara was an easier fix, but it was clear they didn't care about any character beyond the primary leads. All they needed was a BRIEF scene where she realizes the Islands, in bad shape after the recent wars, need the other kingdoms to stand strong. But they couldn't be bothered to name the new ruler of Dorne, so of course they couldn't explain Yara's choices.
 
There’s no way in hell thats the small council we see at the end of the books, and in fact, I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if we didn’t see Bronn again. He was basically just a tradition for the show after his earlier rapport with Tyrion proved intensely popular, and not a real story element at all.
 
oh God please let Benioff and Weiss be clueless enough they actually show their face in San Diego
 
I can't take that serious they won't show up maybe for star wars related things but not GOT

It's too early to have a panel focused around D&D's star wars film. Disney is focused on Episode 9 right now.
