Ghost Rider 2 In The Works - Part 2

Well the movie is filmed in 2.35:1 aspect ratio, and the image we are seeing there is pretty heavily cropped, so you don' see the whole image which is why it probably looks off a bit.
Agreed, that was my first thought. Movies chopped down for TV or fullscreen DVDs always look a bit cheap, no matter what. And the directors are known for experimental composition of shots. I think it looks good, aside from the one shot where the guy with the rifle falls back in shock. THAT looked a bit cheap, no matter how you cut it. Still can't wait!

He did destroy a boat and eat a man's leg. That's gotta be a sin.

Hopefully the final film is released in 2.35:1 so the frames can look normal.

Yeah, because the frames in the trailer definately look more professional than the footage shown at the Scream Awards (even the scenes that were used in both).

I showed the fan poster contest to Hobo, he said he was going to try it out.

I looked him up to see what kind of stuff he's done, and I found a Zombieland track and listened to it.

Definitely looking forward to see what kind of music he brings to this film.

He also produced this "great" Danny Elfman song from Wanted. I also think Sardy's performing the guitar on this as well.

Christopher Young's music for previous GR film was pretty good IMO. It was badly used in the film IMO but the music itself along with the main theme did fit the character.

Hopefully this one can be even better. LOVED Zombieland and its soundtrack.

"Ghost Riders In The Sky" is still one of my favorite end credits CMB movie songs off all time, along with "Iron Man" in the first Iron Man and "Hero" in Spider-Man.

Never was impressed with Young's score for GR. It made the already "cheesy" movie "extra cheesy". It's a shame too b/c he was a perfect fit for this being the man responsible for the first two Hellraiser scores. Sure the score was Morricone-esque and Beltrami-esque (who would've been an interesting choice for both GR movies) at times, but it wasn't dark, edgy, menacing, or sinister enough for the character, imo. It could've brought something the film was really lacking. Instead he just enhanced the problems I have with the film.

Sardy's score for the re-quel will most likely be composed on synthesisers with electric guitars and any other instruments I'd expect to hear from a rock band. With some hard rock songs thrown in between. Could work. Wonder if he'll give GR a theme.

I still think it was the bad use of the music that made it seem bad. Listened to the soundtrack a long time ago but definitely remember hearing stuff that felt was misused. The soundtrack itself is nothing if not used properly. That's why something like Social Network is a one in a million. A soundtrack that's uber awesome that is actually used perfectly in service of the movie and its themes.

As for Sardy, really REALLY hope he'll make a unique and memorable GR theme.

Christopher Young's old stuff is great. Hellraiser, Hellraiser II, The Fly II, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge, Tales From The Hood.

Heres a poster I whipped up. Opinions are not only welcomed...but needed...:o :D

Nice work though the "Take the Ride" font and placement feel wrong IMO.

I felt that...but for some reason I dug it.

It's still a WIP.

Yeah I agree with Red Rider, I think the font should be more similar to the font used in the title of the movie.

I still think it's a great poster overall, it's quite badass if in my humble opinion.

I was totally disappointed with GR's soundtrack. This is a franchise that DEFINITELY needs to be all about the heaviest of metal, and yet the best they could drum up was some old school classic rock --- and not even appropriate classic rock. ZZ Top's "Tush"? Um, no. Spiderbait? Um....what? Who? AC/DC "Highway to Hell?" Yes, please. Slayer? Yes, please. Avenged Sevenfold? Yes, please. Maiden? Sabbath? Ozzy? Metallica? Mastodon? Priest? Now you're on the right track.
