Ghostbusters 3 - Part 1

As a kid, the only thing I liked about the Filmation Ghostbusters was the way they put on their suits in that weird limbo world. I just loved how creepy yet cartoonish it was.

I always just assumed that the "Real Ghostbusters" came first and wondered why the Filmation ones were allowed to exist.

Years later, researching this was one of the very first things I can remember doing on the internet.

The only things I liked about Filmation's Ghostbusters were

-Peter Cullen 's voice acting

- The Dematerializer

- Fang the futuristic were-wolf

- The battle cry " Let' go ghostbusters ! "

Yep, like I said, the Ajax Ghost Exterminators were the very first Ghostbusters, lol.

I like the idea of baseball caps as part of the uniform for the younger generaion although i don't really know why.

I wouldn't mind that and it gives another merch item to get. Also like ff 2 we could have gb merch through film. If they have it the gb been in business since second film and thry could also use it to toss in some old toys, and also give it a story point like that is where they made money from if they go the route only the occassional ghost has poped up since viggo incident, if they don't say there been other big events.

Yeah that sound pretty good although I was thinking they could mention the events of the game which i think was based a couple of years after the 2nd film. nothing major but just a nod to it for the fans of the game as well as the films.

Not really, they can just make a remark let's say egon or ray talking to new recuits about there past adventures and can make a comment on zuul, stay puft, viggo, and one of the events from the game. Rookie wouldn't really need to be commented on at all.

The new IDW series is in continuity with the movies and the game. Ray comments on the Rookies disappearance

They're traveling cross-country and iirc Venkman asks "Isnt this what we trained that new kid for?"

Also iirc Egon explains that, as with the first two movies, after they defeated Ivo Shandor in the game the paranormal activity dropped drastically. Not requiring the need for another Buster.

In GB stories there is always an increase in paranormal activity signaling the coming of a "big bad". Happened before Gozer, happened before Viggo, and happened before Ivo Shandor

Ah that is logical and could play up my idea I said earlier they can now just be rreduce to seeing old toys/merch to make money to keep firehouse running and the master vault of ghosts. And like I said earlier could play on there hasn't been a big event in awhile and egon/ray/maybe winston only bust from time to time small class ghosts when they pop up.

Then you do what ever the big bad is, and resugernce of ghosts again in nyc. And like harold and dan has said egon/ray bodies have taken a toll over the yearrs. They are in no shape to fight multiple ghosts and what not. Which leads to new recuits. And we then move from there.

The two-hour morning block features classic animated programs “The Real Ghostbusters” and “Tales from the Cryptkeeper,” as well as live-action suspense dramas “Eerie, Indiana” and “Dark Oracle.”

FEARnet’s Funhouse programming schedule for both Saturdays and Sundays is as follows:

· “THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS” (10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT) — For the first time in 13 years, “The Real Ghostbusters” (1986-1991) return to television to keep the world safe from marshmallow men, pink slime, and a spooky assortment of unfriendly ghosts.

· “TALES FROM THE CRYPTKEEPER” (10:30 a.m. ET/7:30 a.m. PT) —Produced by original “Tales from the Crypt” execs Robert Zemeckis and Joel Silver, “Tales from the Cryptkeeper” (1994-1997) brings the franchise back to its classic comic book roots, with frightful animated features to chill and delight you.

· “EERIE, INDIANA” (11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT) – Who says nothing ever happens in small towns? Mummies, ghosts and aliens abound when Marshall Teller’s adventures in the most abnormal “normal place in the entire country” return to television.

· “DARK ORACLE” (11:30 a.m. ET/8:30 a.m. PT) —This Canadian export finds twin teens Cally and Lance Stone in possession of a mysterious comic book with a deadly secret. I love the idea of them traveling around the world and then fighting different elements of the paranormal. Even the ghost of Julius Caeasr, an Egyptian pharoah, Charlamagne, an Aztec god etc.

We don't need actual historical figures popping up within the realm of the series. I'm much happier with them sticking with ghosts/Gods that are largely of their own creation.

An interesting lineup. I'll readily admit that I have no idea what Dark Oracle is, though. Haven't heard of it before now.

Main fearnet thing sounds sweet. Got to see if I have the channel. And as. For travel would be a fun element. But like I said before nyc is a character in its to gb world. And wouldn't be right not to be there.
