Ghostbusters 3 - Part 2

Pratt, Hill and Hader sound great to me. Now add a female and a black guy as well.

Aubrey Plaza and Donald Glover....boom!

You think Akroyd still has enough pull to get Eliza Dushku on board? He's been naming her forever

I still do not want this but these directors are good and I would love to see what they come up with. I feel they can pay respect to the other films and previous cast but they need to either nail casting or get the remaining guys back. Still without Ramis this just feels odd to even discuss.

Despite Miller and Lord's track record, Bill Murray is not going to be involved. The only way he says yes is if Jim Jarmusch or Wes Anderson directs.

Aubrey Plaza and Donald Glover....boom!

Good choices, both.

Or maybe Natasha Leggero or Lake Bell if Aubrey says no (can't have two P&R cast members in the same movie, likely also being each other's love interest).

With Lord and Miller on Board I feel like this will finally happen

Donald Glover for sure. I want Bill Hader as well!

I'm totally okay with Lord and Miller taking over the Ghostbusters franchise. They've been absolute gems, ever since Clone High.

I just wonder if Pratt would be able to do this movie if it gets a 2015 release.

Pratt would be awesome. This is great news for the Director choice if true.:up:

Very few Directors are right for this gig imo, those guys should be able to make an extremely entertaining flick and do it justice.

Can't wait to hear more.

There will be at least one female Ghostbuster.

Still think this is a mistake, though. You can't recreate the 1984 magic, the original movie worked for a lot of reasons that can't be replicated. Heck, they couldn't replicate it even when all the team members were in the second movie.

Eh. This has potential to be good.

I don't honestly know what to have this film based on though. Like if you gave me the power to write a script for a Spider-Man movie or a Transformers movie, I could probably throw some good ideas and concepts in there.

But an idea for GB3? I have no clue, now that Egon and Ivan are gone.

Honestly it doesn't sound like he'll have any pull at all on this particular film? He was really pushing for a GB 3 and i think he was even involved in the script but this sounds more like a full on reboot.

I doubt he'll have much more involvement than a token cameo? which is kinda sad.

If they're smart, they won't try to replicate it. That's why the second failed

That film is a perfect example to me, why a Ghostbusters movie made in modern day with current modern comedians won't work the way everyone thinks it will.

It'll be interesting to see how things develop. Given Hollywood's current state, a lot of comedies wind up being the same kind of recycled humor (from the same recycled actors), just against a different backdrop. My main fear is that that's what this film would become. Just the same old guys making the same old jokes, just while they bust ghosts.

More like a soft reboot like Jurassic World, not full on.

Can you elaborate? I thought Jurassic World was a straight up sequel? Aren't they simply continuing the story from at least the 1st two?

As for this film with the death of raimi, I can't see a strong emphasis on the original ghostbusters or what happned to them?

Ok more or less reboot is a meaningless word.

BUt....My definition of a 'soft reboot' is that it's a sequel designed to 'freshen things up', but stays in continuity.
