Ghostbusters 3 - Part 3

Um...yay? Its still in a different continuity, so I can't be completely happy, but it sounds better.

hmmmm if fans would support a reboot with Tatum and Pratt wouldnt this be proof that they were never against a reboot but female actors?

i understand young 12 year old superhero fans and where they are coming from. i was also young. its about dreaming you are one of the heroes. you can not do that if you are a boy and the main cast is 4 girls fighting ghosts.

i guess now comes the time for 10 pages explaining that Tatum and Pratt together would be better than any female cast.

I still prefer a sequel over a reboot and I don't understand why they're not making a sequel.

Anyway, I'd be down for both movies if they decide to make this one too. Having multiple teams makes sense to me. There are probably ghosts all over the place in the Ghostbusters universe so different groups forming in different areas seems natural.

Why not just grab Tatum, Pratt, Lawrence and Caplan in one film? That cast would appeal to everyone. Like you said kids will gravitate to characters of their own sex. Adults will just care if it's good regardless if it's all Female or all Male.

The combo Of Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt alone will make this thing huge returns with the name brand.

The main issue with fans is still keeping this in the same universe as the originals. That's not gonna change.

This!!!

That sounds like a pretty solid ensemble right there which everyone of both sexes would appreciate. The whole 100% female cast thing feels gimmicky.

because right now this is not how hollywood works IMO.

when you have 2 male and 2 female characters they will make sure that there is a big difference between the characters. the male cahracters will be important to the story and the female will be side characters. they would writte a story where there is some romance between the members. 2 girls and 2 boys. and this destroys a team movie.

Imagine that. you have Tatum,Pratt ,Lawrence and Caplan(masters of sex) in the movie. what are the chances that Lawrence or Caplan saves Tatur or Pratt in the third act? i think ZERO. what are the chances that a male cheracter saves a female character? i think at least 95%.

by making it a full female cast you avoid sexism that IMO would 100% happen on the set, with paychecks(Sony Heck News) and in the story. its how IMO hollywood right now is.

Going against everything you said is why they should have a coed team. Do something different and don't bring in those stereotypes. Make Lawrence the leader. Isolating one sex or the other is not the answer here imo.

Tatum playing a man-child who gets himself in bad situations where he needs to be saved would be hilarious.

Exactly. There's a ton of hilarious moments that can play into that.

They should leave the whole thing alone and create a new ghost hunting franchise if they want to make a funny movie about ghost hunters. No matter which way they go it won't have anything to do with the original except for the name and maybe the logo.

you think hollywood would realese a movie where girls pay a ticket for Tatum and than they watch a girl save him? you think in the next 5 years this is possible? i think not.

and since i think this is not possible i think what they would do is durring filming ''rewritte'' the movie to make the guy more heroic.

If that girl is Jennifer Lawrence. Absolutely!

Sony Heck News. Jennifer Lawrence paycheck news after she became the biggest female star.

i think not.

After all the Hunger Games sequels and this terrible news? They would be fools not to. They can't stay on the same path or make idiotic sexist mistakes.

They need to redeem themselves not continue digging a ditch.

I'm that optimist that annoys everyone. I look at this news and don't think "Oh no! Girlz!" or "Reboots suck!" Instead, I'm thinking, "Holy poopy! We might be going from having no new Ghostbusters to having two! Awesome!"

I understand all of your concerns and reservations, but I'm just happy to see my favorite franchise given new life. Keep busting friends!

wow 3 of the people I've had on my wishlist, chris, jen and emma.

Chris as oscar, lawrence as his sister. tatum as a friend, emma as stantz kid. bam.

This isn't a car crash waiting to happen this is mother frikin planets colliding.

potentially having Chris Pratt as Ghostbuster is about the only good thing i have heard concerning this franchise in the last few months

Interesting so I guess Tatum approaching Sony made Sony scrap the all female idea ?
