Ghostbusters 3 - Part 3

I just honestly can't believe so many actors who I kinda like want to be involved in this turd

You just gotta turn the thing down, out of respect

The only way I could see accepting a role in this would be just to go in with an attitude of "If I don't make this and work hard to make sure it's good, someone else will make it terrible," but, then again, that's awfully egostistical of my hypothetical actor

not a single person mentioned so far is anywhere near Bill Murray comedy-wise or Harold Ramis writing-wise. so no. just f***ing no.

Well, Ghostbusters is a gem amongst many comedic actors from around the world, and it'd be idiotic to turn down the chance to say you were in the franchise.

wow 3 of the people I've had on my wishlist, chris, jen and emma.

Chris as oscar, lawrence as his sister. tatum as a friend, emma as stantz kid. bam.

Is there such a thing as a cast that is way too attractive? :wow:

Is this still going to basically be a Bridesmaids sequel?

Channing would bring in a bigger female audience than an all-woman cast would.

Just combine the two scripts.

Lawrence, Tatum, Pratt and Caplan.

The girl from Pitch Perfect as the secretary.

I'd watch that.

I think the thing about the original is that none of the guys sans Ernie Hudson were really all that attractive. They were weird joe average schlubs and they looked it. The cartoon ramped up their..."cuteness" as it were.

Now a Pratt and Tatum Ghostbusters film is something I would actually watch.

I read somewhere that the baby goose may be interested in it as well? I'd at him to the pot. gosling, tatum, pratt, lawrence, and stone. sexiest cast ever.

I've been saying it all year, but my dream ghostbuster is still Terry Crews. This commercial pretty much tells it all. He would be that tough guy who's scared at first, then later on would be singing with the ghosts or something. :lmao:

Yeah he would be the Ernie Hudson of the movie.

So almost exactly the opposite of the originals.

Oh god, can't someone just kill this thing with fire or napalm or something already? While the idea of Pratt as a Ghostbuster is mildly intriguing, its not worth it. They clearly have no idea what made Ghostbusters special and they're just trying to throw flavor-of-the-month casts at a franchise with pedigree.

Lawrence and Stone in the same movie, and Pratt! Where's Mephisto when you need him, I want to make a deal to make this happen.

hmmmm if fans would support a reboot with Tatum and Pratt wouldnt this be proof that they were never against a reboot but female actors?

i cant speak for everyone, and i wouldnt want to, but personally it was never about the all female cast but the selections they were making. the people behind the camera and the chosen actors just screamed mediocre and stereotypical to me

i mean when the female cast was announced everyone immediately though ok the first will be an obnoxious plus sized actress and thats what we got

give me a ghostbusters film with a decent all female cast and the only thing i'll complain about is wither it has a connection to the originals, ive settled i'll never see the guys back together but to completely reboot it with no links is a bad idea

a perfect example of a soft reboot is Zach Galligan's idea for gremlins, its set 30 years after the first film, a new town, new cast and a new mogwai but when everything hits the fan the new main character looks into finds out about kingston falls and links it all back, this can lead to billy and gizmo appearing in some form

for an all female gb film i would have it set in chicago or somewhere have the four girls be friends who have all failed at there life goals/jobs and decide to buy the franchise. then you can have ray cameo in some cheesy promo/instructional video.

new cast, new characters new setting, new ideas and not throwing the baby out with the bath water

So will the setting even be in New York City? If this is all new complete reboot, why not move it elsewhere? Detroit, Chicago..

Well, Ghostbusters is a gem amongst many comedic actors from around the world, and it'd be idiotic to turn down the chance to say you were in the franchise.

Nobody who made the first GB a gem is involved here, though. Different writers, different director, different producer, different cast.

It's not GB really, just a funny (hopefully) movie about ghost hunting with the GB name and logo slapped on it. Would an actor really want to be in a bomb just to say he was in the franchise? Maybe we should ask the kid who was in the last Home Alone movie...

Well first of all you'd have to accept the premise that the movie would be automatically doomed to "bomb." And that assumption seems, debatable, to say the least (especially with a bunch of big names potentially being involved). And second, what constitutes a "true" GB film is extremely subjective. Plenty of people would think that this is absolutely a GB movie, just an expansion of the world. Others would disagree, but that's why it's subjective.

How bout after the proposed 23 Jump Street/MiB movie the next one be 24 Jump Street/Ghostbusters and have Hill/Tatum go undercover as GB's

I can book you in on Thursday between 2:30-3:00 pm. No need to respond; we won't be contacting you by phone or e-mail. Just sit in a room that has a mirror in it.

Add in the Men In Black who are investigating the new Ghostbusters BRILLIANT

An MiB/GB crossover? I'm shocked IDW comics never did that.
