I was amazed they found a person to voice Gozer that sounded close to the original actress's voice who passed the new voice was SO good
Hmmm maybe I need to rewatch because I remember thinking it didn’t sound like the original at all. The original voice was deeper and had an echo-y tone to it.

I like that they simply recast the role instead of making a bad CGi reconstruction. It works fine, just like Doctor Sleep recast the family of The Shining.

Or maybe is because I like Olivia Wilde in anything :smgs:

both did they did something to make it sound more evil but the voice of her in afterlife even without any fx sounded perfect for the character

I saw this on Saturday and I enjoyed it. I think it was the right mix of nostalgia. However, I'm not sure this is supposed to be a new start? And although I really liked Phoebe, not sure if I wanna go a few more movies into this with a younger cast.

Considering the movie was made and finished two years ago, by the time they actually start a new one, they are basically going to be three years older already.

Finn Wolfhard is already 18. Celeste O'Connor is in their 20s. Mckenna Grace will probably be 16 when they finally get to the next movie if/when.

When I interviewed Logan Kim right before the film came out, his voice had already changed.

Spoilers ahead on this one..

Also I can't really argue with his opening. . . . .

So, Halloween 3 should be left out of sets?

If they were to release a Halloween set with the current continuity only (H'78, H'18, Kills, Ends), then yes, every other Halloween film from the original Halloween II to the Rob Zombie Halloween II should be left out.

Feig looks a fool for this. It's a box set. And it's a simple matter of continuity. Reitman has been nothing but respectful but it has been obvious from day one that Afterlife was being built on 2016's ashes. I don't know why Feig would need to interject now, over this. Citing a Kid's Choice award is about the lamest flex I've ever seen. He just baiting the hideous 'fans' that already hate him, who were mostly over it after five long years.

On the one hand, I get it, they decided to go a different direction after the 2016 reboot underwhelmed. On the other hand, it feels weird to call it the "Ghostbusters Ultimate Collection" and leave a movie out.

I have a blu ray set for Batman called the Ultimate Collection. It only contains Burton/Schumacher films. I'm going to sue. :o

Saw this a few days ago and couldn't believe it wasn't made by JJ Abrams.

Enjoyable at times but also pretty shameless in how it mines nostalgia.

It's Super 8 in the Ghostbusters world. I said it. :o

It's interesting how Super 8 was basically the first of the current era of nostalgic "kids have an adventure" genre and it's basically been forgotten. It's criminally underrated.
