I agree with pretty much everything you've said (minus the Norris/ Slaughter parts) but I especially agree with this ...

Murray as Destro? When Arnold Vosloo is RIGHT THERE?! Seriously. Vosloo isn't exactly a big name, but he would've been perfect for Destro. Unless it was because he turned Destro down and wanted to be Zartan instead. But you know, not sure why he wouldn't want the main villain role and bigger billing.

Does Snake Eyes ever take off his mask/visor? I always remembered him with it on the whole time.

Just wondering if Ray Park gets any scenes with it off.

I'm assuming that they will have a lot of scenes where he is wearing dark sunglasses - coolness.

Yes, but it was rare since he was horribly disfigured. When he was in public with Scarlett he would wear a rubber mask because he was ashamed of his face.

After the operation repaired his scars, and after the new comics he did take his mask off, and he looked normal, that is before Storm Shadow slashed a sword between his eyes and scarred him again, this one though was not as bad and did heal to it looked like a knick.

After Snake Eyes "died" again and was resurrected by the red ninja, they apparently did something to his face again. The comics have never showed it, but it spooked Scarlett up quite a bit. One can assume his face got messed up again.

^ Maybe Vosloo is a Zartan fan and didn't want to be Destro. How come that never crosses anyone's mind? I'm pretty sure Sommers would've let him choose. They're really good friends.

According to IESB, Shipwreck will be in the movie.

Yeah, I saw GR and unfortunately it's too silly to be taken seriously, not to mention an over-the-top Nic Cage that made me cringe. I don't mind GI JOE replacing it (and it's about time this movie has a forum). Now we just need some smilies for GI JOE...

I second that. I know some of you guys are pissed about these casting choices for G.I Joe but at least they aren't as bad as the casting for the now-defunct JLA movie. THAT wreaked of sh**.

Hey, I like Ray Park as Snake, Sienna Miller as Baroness, and Dennis Quaid as Hawk. All of those are solid, inspired choices to me.

hmm.. how will they handle Destro's face mask? in the toons, it wsn't clear how he was able to have full emotional display through a "metal" mask..
still disappointed that some joe favorites have been bypassed for 2nd tier joes (heavy duty, ripcord), but hey, maybe for the sequel..

The grunts will probably die, but main characters will either get seriously injured or will die in a larger fashion. Sommers has no problem with body counts obviously, as seen from his last few pics.

It was a KIDS cartoon. They're not gonna have people die in a cartoon made for kids. Especially not in the 80's.
