Yeah the more the show goes on and the more they introduce more compelling characters, the less we need Cara Dune. Katee Sackhoff and Ming Na acted circles around her in the finale. Gina was fine but the more you surround her with genuinely good actors, the more glaring her weaknesses become. So if they wrote her out of the show, it wouldn’t matter much.
And yeah, if people aren’t bothered by her transphobic tweets or her Covid-denying and pro-fascism tweets (or are able to just ignore them) and can just enjoy the show, that is their right. But I don’t think it’s fair to ask members of the LGBTQ community, people of color, or just people who don’t want to die of COVID to just set aside their dislike of her when she supports things that directly threaten our lives AND has been incredibly vocal about that support. Like Sithborg said, the moment you join Parler, you basically confirm your status as a garbage person.
The most ironic thing though is that she plays a rebel on this show who adamantly hates the space Nazis. I guess she’s a better actor than we give her credit for lol.
