Glee Episode V: The Sylvester Strikes Back - - - Part 12

Glee probbaly wont make it past a 5th season, I would give it 6 tops.

I suspect 5 will be the last season, and the way they're drawing out the school year, they might even be intending it that way.

I just think that they cant make up their mind if they want to get rid of one or the other storylines since I think they know deep down that ND 2.0 wont be able to cut it without any of the original ND.

Yea, no way are Marley/Jake/Ryder/Kitty cut out to carry the show.

They're firmly supporting characters, and not particularly memorable ones, at that.

I honestly think that the new kids not being overly interesting is a by-product of keeping so many graduates in the mix. I think if the show had been forced to sink or swim solely on the basis of the new New Directions, I think the writers might have been able to whip up a more intriguing ensemble of newbies.

Then they should do that next season. Lord knows at this point there is nothing remotely interesting about Artie, Tina, Sam, Brittany, or Blaine.

Might as well just focus on the NY gang. They had their chance to introduce good newbies but they failed. All they did was rehash storylines and boring ones with the ever so slightly interesting storyline. Sue/Schue are useless since these writers can't think out side of the box. Might as well cut them so we can explore more and get out of the loft/dance room.

That's subjective. General consensus on the newbies is pretty positive, while there is a considerable amount of critics to the NYC storyline, which, in my opinion, doesn't have enough to carry an episode, let alone the whole show.

Just keep things how they are. That way, pretty much everyone is happy.

Nyada is basically a McKinley for people over 18. You can get the same out of it.

Had Ryan gone through with a spinoff, I think the same problem that plagues the McKinley cast would be fixed. They would've been able to cook up a real supporting cast for Rachel and Kurt, instead of really having to half-ass by trimming their story down to fit in with the regular show.

How's it not? It has a "glee" Club/music class for sure. Cassandra would be the younger version of Sue. We know there are the popular kids. Plenty of interesting dynamics to explore.

Some 4x21 spoilers:

- Stevie Wonder tribute episode

- Kitty sings "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours"

- Katey Segal is Artie's mother

- Kate Hudson returns. So does Carole Hudson-Hummel.

- Blaine & Mercedes have a duet

- Mercedes also has a solo

- Kurt comes back to Ohio for Burt's medical appointment, sings "You are the Sunshine of my Life" to Burt, and has a scene with Blaine

I've been enjoying Blaine and Sam a lot lately, though I enjoy Sam more as Blaine's BFF than on his own or with Brittany (and it's really obvious the writers care more about Blaine/Sam than Sam/Brittany).

I'm kind of sick of Brittany and don't really care if she leaves, and I never really cared about Tina or Artie in the first place.

Oh is she really? I'd love that, but I'd think TV Line or something would have said something about that...

Well I am speechless. One more orig. ND parent brought out of the shadows. So glad to see her show up, hope it isnt a blink and you miss it appearance. Now if only we could get Tina/Mercedes/Brittanys parent(s) to show up. How do you not get Lisa Kudrow on this show when she said she would happily do it.

Lisa Kudrow as Brittany's mom would have been ridiculously perfect.

Sadly Brittany probably won't even be around much longer, so it'll never happen.

By the way, if they ever cast Blaine's dad:

No brainer.

By being Ryan Murphy. :o

True true. Passes up Anne Hathaway and bette midler but makes room for NeNe.

I actually vaguely enjoyed her presence on Glee, but making her a lead cast member on The New Normal is one of those "lolwut?" moments that he excels at.
