Just imagine what it will be like after episode 3. I highly doubt they are going to have the characters dealing with it throughout the season or even bring him up.

Watching the premiere, since I only got to watch part of it last night. Jesus, Blaine is just intolerable.

Did I just see Ted Beneke talking to Sue?!

When is he not.

I should really be used to it by now, but God... every time he does anything at this point, I turn into this...

Not a great episode by any stretch. It's at the point where the music doesn't even move me, which was one of the draws of the show. I think someone said it here recently that the creators used to be so deliberate in their choices for music. There were at most five per episode and each one was given to a specific person in a specific scene for a specific reason. Now it just seems like they're trying to punch out CDs.

I did like All You Need is Love, which if used outside of a tribute episode, it could have been a classic sequence.

"Hey everybody, lets do a huge, elaborate song-and-dance number to celebrate Blaine proposing to Kurt, just like we did with Mr. Schue and Emma, except unlike that couple, this relationship is long distance, between two teenagers who up until very recently were broken up because one cheated on the other. TOTALLY neglecting the fact that a relationship between two of their very best friends OF THE SAME AGE fell apart when they tried to do the same... Oh and look! One of them is dressed like Jim Carrey in The Mask, but without the green face make-up! ISN'T THIS DELIGHTFUL?!?!"

That's quite a bit of fantasy you've cooked up here, Murphy.

I am starting to hate tribute episodes more and more. Having everyone in Glee PRAISE insert BLANK like they are the best of the best, except for 1 person who then gets a lecture as to why BLANK is the best is annoying.

Yeah, that really bothered me in the Michael episode. And I'm a huge MJ fan :oldrazz:

I mean, not everybody loves Madonna/Britney/Michael/Whitney/Britney Again/Stevie/Beatles, and that's OK.

Btw, it looks like the Gaga/Katy episode is a reality:

At first I did not like the idea, but maybe after the hard 5x03, Will wants to "distract" the Glee Club, so he gives a week that is enjoyable for them.

It does seem weird to go from mourning Finn to rocking out to Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, but maybe as you said it's a distraction.

Or Ryan Murphy just can't help cashing in on current pop culture events.

I just have a feeling that they will gloss over Finns death after 5x03. Seems like such a Glee thing to do.

And I know that they don't want to make Lea any more miserable than she already is but it would be good for Rachel to sing Katys The One That Got Away so they can show Rachel still dealing with it.

but from the bts photos the NY group is happier than ever with Dani/Lady Starlight or whatever over at the loft.

so just watched the premier last night, as much as i hate the concept of Kurt and Blaine getting married so young, the proposal was pretty sweet, and sorta glad Kurt said yes (the fall out from him saying know would be a rehashed mess of a story we really don't need to see. Hopefully they at least have a VERY long engagement.

as for them getting back into "fun" after Finn's death.. i think most shows DO actually do that... if you dwell on depression too long it sorta kills the show. It's sorta always why the last 3 seasons of Will and Grace drove me nuts... they spent too much time on arguing and drama for a light-hearted comedy show (from the grace and leo drama, to the grace and karen minor drama, to the will and grace drama in the final season... all major buzz kills) I suspect and hope SOME character archs, especially Rachel's should be somewhat finn heavy over the season, but it's perfectly ok for others to get back into the swing of things. Especially when they don't know him as well

Yeah, the show is titled Glee, not Grim. I'm sure they'll carry the scars of Finn's loss but they can't wollow in it always and forever.

Of course you don't have a season of mourning but some characters should show sadness/difficulty due to his death for a few episodes.

some will other's wont.

Rachel and Shue are probably the ones that it should heavily focus on first and foremost, if anyone...

followed by Kurt. I see everyone else moving on rather quickly

I don't see Blaine and the newbies being all that affected by Finn's death. Sure, they'll be sad for the episode but it's not going to define them, nor is there really reason for it to.

Rachel/Kurt/Schue should definitely have some Finn-related multi-episode stuff, though.

Heather Morris had her kid. A boy named Elijah.

Already? How far along was she when her pregnancy was announced?

She was already starting to show apparently, when she announced it, which was about 3-4 months.

That's good for her. Wonder if they will bring brit back after the first half of the season.

Im not expecting them to since Heather and the show seemed like they were over each other but given how popular Brittany is I wouldn't be surprised if it crosses their minds.

Ratings were down 30% from the last season premiere. People are getting tired of this show.

Cory's death is causing a lot of viewers to stop watching. The Finchel fandom which is a pretty sizable chunk are mostly all gone after the Cory episode.
