I didn't mind it cutting away from Rachel since she is front and center for remainder of the season and I will take any time off we get from her.

They've literally built up to Rachel's Broadway debut for pretty much the entire series, and the episode centering on it cuts away from it to spend an inordinate amount of time on...Sue, of all people? Ick.

And not just Sue but Sue sexcapades with some of the grossest and most unconvincing making out I've ever seen. :(

lol the stuff this show does always sounds so outlandish and unbelievable when you haven't actually seen it in front of your eyes. I'd love to think I'm going to keep this up, but I know I'm in too deep to be out for good.

The Untitled Rachel Berry Project
Mary Halloran - a Hollywood screenwriter who is widely considered a genius - but whom some may politely describe as “quirky” - arrives in New York to tool a script for a potential network television series centered on Rachel’s life. While Rachel is initially quick to bow to Mary’s hip and industry savvy vision for the script, she and the gang are dismayed when all - except Brittany - are confused by what they read, prompting Rachel to try and influence some rewrites that more accurately depict who she is.

As Mercedes prepares to launch her nationwide shopping-mall tour to promote her new CD, Sam finds himself on the verge of accomplishing one of his lifelong goals of appearing “almost naked on a city bus.” As the two contemplate spending the next several months apart, friends offer each of them relationship advice, prompting the couple to make a decision about their future.

Meanwhile, Blaine continues to work on his showcase with June. While she promises him the event will launch his career in ways he never dreamed of, it will also require him to reveal a lie and break a promise he made to Kurt… something he may not be prepared to do.

CONCEPT: A quirky Hollywood screenwriter begins to work on ideas for a series based on Rachel’s life, but her hip vision for the script leaves Rachel and the gang feeling nonplussed. On the verge of spending several months apart, Mercedes and Sam make a decision about their relationship. As Blaine prepares to perform in his showcase, he is faced with a tough decision.

SPECIAL GUESTS:
SHIRLEY MACLAINE - June Dolloway
AMBER RILEY - Mercedes Jones
HEATHER MORRIS - Brittany S. Pierce

PRODUCTION CREDITS:
Written by: MATTHEW HODGSON
Directed by: BRAD FALCHUK

I think I am dead and officially gone to hell. There is no other answer.

Like I said, there are plenty of gay actors who can believably play straight, and Jane Lynch is not one of them.

Pssh, my play-by-plays let you know everything that happened anyway.

An accomplished television writer wants to make a pilot based on the life of a girl who has had approximately one Broadway performance and is otherwise completely unknown to the world at large... and she thinks she can bend that writer to her own will?

That's quite a little fairy tale you've cooked up this time, Murphy. Jesus, Once Upon a Time is more believable than this show and that's actually ****ing fairy tales.

The sooner you realize and accept that Ryan Murphy is actively trying to destroy your happiness, it'll be like a weight has been taken off your chest.

Eh. I think Lynch is quite capable of playing straight, just not on this mess.

Yeah, but sometimes you have to be there to see the trainwreck first hand. :csad:

Though it is funny that you bring up Lynch being able to play straight, since it occurred to me awhile back, and I can't remember if I posted it here or not, that I really find it funny that, with the exception of Colfer (and now Adam Lambert), alot of the gay actors that have been on this show have played straight characters (Lynch, Dot Jones, Matt Bomer, NPH, Jonathan Groff, Cheyenne Jackson), while a good deal of the gay characters (Santana, Blaine, Sandy Ryerson, Karofsky, Sebastian) have been played by straight actors.

I mean, there's no rule saying that all gay actors must play gay characters or that straight actors should ONLY play straight characters, but it's so frequent, I almost wonder if RM is doing it intentionally.

She should take lessons from Matt Bomer, I completely buy him romancing the Ladies on White Collar.

She has spent 5 years playing Sue as a very masculine sexualess character. I don't think no matter how good she is that it would be able to play Sue as feminine sexual creature. Especially this late into the game I don't think we would be able to see anything different. It would be like making Santana into a butch lesbian. Just not believable.

Yea, just think how ridiculous it would be if he suddenly turned Blaine into this super flaming camp gay...oh wait.

At least that happened in his second year of playing the character and not 5.

I feel like Season 1 Sue would just slap the **** out of later Sue and Dalton!Blaine would pretend he didn't know McKinley!Blaine.

You're making me miss season 1 Sue. :csad:

I think I was in love....

It's genuinely sad how she's been diminished into a cartoonish irrelevant unfunny nuisance.

Naya as rizzo is all that's needed.

Apparently Naya has been written out of the finale which makes her and Leas beef seem all the more real. She hasn't been on set, she has been written out of the episodes description, Heather has been filming group scenes and none with Naya. Her being suspended/fired are all becoming more and more real. Of course it could be overreacting but who ever knows with this show.

Who decided to give "Piece of my Heart" to Darren and....Shirley Maclaine of all people?

Should have been Lea or Naya.

Well HeMo isnt back full time yet and I doubt they wanted to punish her. Though their reason for Brittany being around sans Santana will be interesting.

What happened between Naya and Lea? It seems if you cross Lea then you are automatically in the wrong in Murphy's eyes.

They got into it on set, apparently Lea was channeling her inner Rachel and held up production a bit and Naya complained to the producers.

HAHAHAHAH. her "inner" Rachel. Girl doesn't have an inner Rachel, she has an outer Miranda Priestly.

Naya will get the last laugh, I think she has a much higher ceiling as an actress outside of Murphy's bubble.
