Yeah, I mean, I still seem to recall us complaining about certain things here and there back when that season was airing, but compared to what we've been given over the past two seasons, S2 was a goddamn work of art.

It is hilarious how the show has been consistent in it's downward slope. Literally each season is worse than the one before it. Season 2 wasn't as good as 1, but was still better than 3, which was in turn better than 4, which was better than last season, and GOD HELP US if season 6 ends up being worse than 5, because.... yeesh.

Season 6 they will cover Rebecca Black's 'Friday' and William Hung's version of 'She Bangs.' And there will be a teachable moment. :o

You're four seasons behind.

Oh. I actually don't watch Glee much. Or at all. Actually I've only seen 3 or 4 episodes. But I can't resist joining in on a good pile-on when even fans turn on a show that has just become a complete hole of suckage. :o

Tina trying to de-asian her and Mikes date nights is probably one of the most serious storylines she ever got.

Duets is probably one of Glees best episodes in every way. Everyone got a good amount of screen time and it all lead back to the main plot. I wish we had another one where Finn/Rachel actually tried to win and didnt. Its funny that they think they would win if they didnt throw the competition

Duets was an all-around solid episode. There really wasn't anything bad about it. Mike and Tina even got a decent subplot.

Speaking of season rankings, I actually think Season 4 was better than Season 3. Season 4 actually hit a pretty good run of what I thought were pretty solid episodes, then it started downsliding after Christmas. And the last few were just all jacked up. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and say they had to rewrite on the fly after Cory, but Season 5 wasn't any better until they switched completely to New York, and then that breath of fresh air didn't even last long. They've destroyed any shred of sympathy for Rachel.

I'm still shocked at how young Colfer looks in early S1 compared to now.

Seriously, there's no way he was older than 14. :o

Season 5 was all around suck all the way through for me. This recently leaked photoshoot video that includes Cory Monteith makes me sad we got what we eneded up with
http://vimeo.com/97382117

Sad as it is to say, the season wouldn't have been any better with him than it was without.

Original charming Blaine! The memories.

While I already noticed it back then, but wow were they hell bent on keeping the Unholy Trinity in their Cheerios uniforms. They were even in them when they weren't in school.

Cant believe that they wasted Karofsky after S2. All that build up only to do a 1 episode throw away in S3.

And RIB never should've brought on more writers, or at least hired ones with brains. The show was much tighter when it was just those 3 writing the show for S1-2.

S3 started off very good where they swore off guest stars for the first half but after that they just went crazy with them. Not to mention that the addition of the Glee Project didn't help the show, them forcibly bringing in various people from that show did not help at all. Only ones who mattered were Jake/Unique. And I still want to know why they decided to get rid of Lauren Zizes.

And looking at the bts video, Cory seemed kind of tired during some parts, and it is so sad that if they had started shooting just a bit sooner, or if he had some other obligation things wouldve turned out so differently.

But it will always be sad to rewatch this show and see all the potential it had, but it was held back by lame writers who didnt know how to write and their insistence of shoving Rachel Berry down our throats.

That's the frustrating part. Glee could have been so much better, and even far into the show, it had sporadic moments where it still gave glimpses of what could have been.

The writers are just tone deaf. Do they seriously think having everything handed to her on a silver platter makes Rachel sympathetic? They've taken a character who we had a love/hate relationship with for most of the series and finally completely tipped the scales into making her completely unsympathetic.

It's so weird to rewatch Blaine in S2, because his entire demeanor is completely different. And the changes afterward were....not for the best.

It's hard to imagine S2 Blaine doing some of the ridiculous **** he's done since. Even considering the Jeremiah fiasco.

While I already noticed it back then, but wow were they hell bent on keeping the Unholy Trinity in their Cheerios uniforms. They were even in them when they weren't in school.

I never got what the big deal was about Naya Rivera until I saw her outside her Cheerios uniform with her hair down.

Max Adler was one of the best supporting actors on the show in S2.

Especially when none of the writers even seem to watch the other writers' episodes or have completely different ideas about everything.

His weight loss was definitely noticeable. :csad:

FOX stars, including, Mindy Kaling and Yeardley Smith. During the event, she revealed that the Glee story line for Season 6 will bring the cast back to Lima.
Jane confirms what I have heard from a source. Lea Michele told David Letterman during a recent appearance that she’d be “doing something very different than [she’d] ever done on the show before.”
When Dave pressed her for details she said that Rachel was “going to have a different role. She’s going to be in a location you’ve seen her in before, but doing something different.”
What I heard is that Rachel will return to McKinley to put the Glee club back together. In effect, she’d be the new Mr. Schue.
An idea that’s also being considered is to have the Rachel-led New Directions go head to head once again with their old nemesis, Vocal Adrenaline. Only this time, Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) would be at the helm, with Blaine (Darren Criss)–or maybe another ND alum–working as his assistant.
I hear that out of the newbies, only Alex Newell, has been asked to return, for a few episodes. He plays the transgender character, Unique.
With Jane confirming that everyone will be back in Ohio, it sounds like each returning cast member will have a role to play in this new scenario. At this point, I have no idea which of the other cast members are returning or in what capacity.
Also, there’s also filming to be set in both New York City and Los Angeles, I hear. You’ll remember that Season 5 left off with Blaine and Kurt (Chris Colfer) living together in NYC, Artie (Kevin McHale) still studying at a Brooklyn film school, and Rachel heading off to shoot a pilot in Los Angeles. I haven’t heard, but I’m assuming that season 6 will end up in Ohio, but won’t begin there.
No scripts have been written yet. So you know. Stuff can still change.
Season 6 will have a total of 10-12 episodes, I heard filming could wrap up as early as December.
Glee is set to return to the FOX schedule at mid season.

It's nice that she went for a more "natural" look but something just seems off.

She is a celeb which means whoever she hangs out with she is dating. But even if she is actually dating him, he had to make his money somehow, but talk about life imitating art.

Seriously, $350 an hour?! Makes me wish I was better looking and/or gave a **** about working out.

I am sure you can find someone in the world that would pay a couple of bucks for your time.

And I just noticed that JLos now ex was a footballer stand in during Sylvesters Shuffle or whatever the episode is called. You think that with this being the episode that followed the Superbowl that the writers wouldve put their best work into it.

It is a damn shame that we never got to see Cheerios regionals or any of their competitions since it would have given the UT some focus that they lacked. It was stupid of Shue dropping to Sues level and forcing the UT to choose between Glee Club and their regionals. And while I doubt that Santana wouldve stayed de-Cheerioed for long, it was a waste of a storyline to have no one take their place in the school hierarchy of popular kids and Sues go tos.

The writers really missed out on the UT singing You Dont Own Me from First Wives club to Sue/Shue and have them choose neither.

Glee Bosses Reveal Final Season Theme, Confirm 'There Will Be a Lot Going On In
'
By Michael Ausiello / June 20 2014, 3:39 PM PDT

Glee is going old school in its final season.

Series co-creator Ryan Murphy told TVLine at Thursday’s Critics Choice Television Awards (where he was honored with the Louis XIII Genius Award) that the show will shift back to its original conceit in Season 6.

“We’re working on the last season now, and it really feels like it’s getting back to its roots, which I love,” he shared. “I’m sort of reinvigorated about it. It’s getting back to what I was initially interested in with the show, which was arts in school. The last season is really about the importance of arts education in our high schools… I think people will like it.”

Murphy’s quotes — as well as fellow EP Brad Falchuk’s assertion to TVLine that “there will be a lot going on in Lima” in Season 6 — all but confirms speculation that much of the action will once again take place at McKinley High.

Murphy, meanwhile, admitted that he “sort of stepped away from Glee a little bit” last season to focus on directing HBO’s The Normal Heart. Cory Monteith’s death also made working on the show challenging. “To be honest with you, my heart kind of broke a little bit,” he conceded. “It was very difficult, not just for me, but for everybody.” (Additional reporting by Scott Huver)
So, what, his lack of involvement in the writers room is what made S5 so terrible?

Meh.

Murphy gives the whole "we're taking it back to its roots/we're getting back on track/I'm feeling reinvigorated" speech every season.

And he's emotionally abused me enough that I want to believe it. :csad:

Then again, I know it's too late for any kind of quality turn-around on this thing.

So Rachel is going to teach the Glee club in the final season?

It seems they will give me wish of having her pilot not get picked, and her being blackballed on broadway (effectively ending her career as it started).

I mean....... why else would she be back in Lima teaching Glee club.
