Musical Glee Episode V: The Sylvester Strikes Back - - - - - - Part 15

Obligatory "Shut the **** up, Blaine" post of the night.

Who the **** tells an actor that they should NOT take this huge paying acting gig, but go to school instead?

Didn't they pull this stupidity last season?

Spencer's boyfriend, you need to start being attractive enough for my shallow ass to be okay with you dating him. :o
Spencer is possibly worse than Finn when it comes to "performing" though. Jeez.

Spencer is gorgeous. Im going to be a total perv and say he needs pics leaked... pronto

This episodes wasn't too bad. Not by current Glee standards anyway.

I almost wish they just made the last few seasons over the top and embraced it like this seems to be doing. Rather than being so inconsistent. I love when they embrace the rediculousness

Yeah, you can't jump back and forth between over-the-top and earnest like they've been doing for the past few seasons.

I feel like they're not embracing it though. The do something inconceivably stupid, and then they have a character make a joke about how stupid it is in an attempt to be meta... or something.

It's the writers telling the audience "we know this is terrible, but we're doing it anyway."

Well this episode may have confirmed a number of glee performances were just figments of their imaginations, and not actual mega spectacles. Lol

Ugh, look at how adorable he is. :o

The Sue vs Shu Final Countdown scene and the Sue vs Geraldo section were the highlights of the ep. :D

I guess my unpopular opinion is Sue Sylvester has been an incredibly stupid and often unfunny character who gets waaaaay too much screen time since like Season 3.

We don't need to spend the last few episodes of the entire series on crap like spending half an episode at a random kid's Bar Mitzvah or like half an hour on Sue getting fired. They're not leaving any time to give the core cast properly developed endings.

I'm just at a point where the show is such a mess I no longer care, I just snatch bits of entertainment from it where I can and some of Sue's insanity this season has amused me.

I think sue being in the focus was great they should have an episode focused on each character or a few by seasons end. And theyve done that somewhat without distracting from the whole glee club aspect. The barmitzvah ep was ehhh.. but it was one episode set to basically wrap up the new kids and not deal with them any more so i dont blame them for doing that. And the 2 couples on the show got there wedding as well. Now focus is shifting to rachel.

Honestly, and we can kick and scream about mercedes, puck, arties, quinn, and sam all we want... but they havent really been interesting central characters for a while now so they wont get focus. I think it was good to do a sue focused episode, and add some closure to her character. Love her or hate her, the show is known for her. It just is what it is

Ok, I'll admit, Will and Sue's "Final Countdown" fantasy sequence was funny, especially when it cuts to reality with them playing air guitar on the stage with Kurt and Rachel and the kids just staring at them like "wtf".

That and their reaction to suddenly seeing dreadlock jesus again, was priceless

This was such a S4/5 type episode, extremely useless majority of the time, totally everywhere. But they went out of their way to make Sue/Schues performance an illusion, so it wasn't surprising to see them air guitarring it though it was enjoyable.

They should've found a way to reconnect Sue with the Cheerios, though she fits VD. I kind of want ND to lose just because Rachel/Blaine are annoying and poor Kurt has become nothing but their shadow.

I am sad that we wont get more with the newbies, I want more Spencer!

She's still funny to varying degrees, but she can only bounce back and forth between friend and enemy so many times before I just want to see Will shove her down a flight of stairs. Which is how I hope the series ends, btw. :o

Just saw the Wedding episode. Dont get Murphy's obsession with having kids so young get engaged and/or married. Im glad Mike turned down Tina's proposal bc it was stupid. As was the spontaneous wedding of Blaine and Kurt when they barely just got together

Listening to Rachel and Jesse's "Listen to Your Heart" for Friday's episode just makes me depressed. We had Samchel...and now it's gone :csad:
