Glee Episode V: The Sylvester Strikes Back

It's called Puckurt.

-cough- Oh, wait..-cough- Yes I know it'd never happen. I just think it's particularly hot.

Unnecessarily long. Purt works fine. :o

Kurt deserves better than that, though. He'd essentially just be Puck's bottom *****....

I wish I were Blaine. :csad:
Huh, what.

Lea/Groff sound just like Adele... just a capela...
Nah, I'm pretty sure it's in a different key, and while the verse is sung the same, the chorus is sung quite differently: exactly like John Legend's version. It ruins the chorus, imo. Though I'll admit it's growing on me. After seeing it in context, I'm getting over the knee-jerk reaction of discovering that they used Legend's version (just because I was already familiar with his cover and hated it with a passion, so I was immediately like "WHY GLEE WHY?!?! Adele's is SOOOO much better!"). I still don't particularly like it, but I don't hate like I do with Legend singing it.

Decent episode tonight. Glad Jesse's back, his dialogue with Rachel is always entertaining (but those 6 months in London have not been kind to Groff. Someone get that boy some sun!). They are SO on the same wavelength. Actually, I loved his interactions with everyone tonight - I'm not sure I recall him and Quinn ever speaking before this, but I like it.

The chorus sounds like it always does to me. :csad:

Listen to them side by side, they're totally different!

I guess there's just too much straight boy in me to appreciate Friends. That show makes me hurl. It's up there with Everybody Loves Raymond for me. I just can't stand it.

I wish Quinn had joined Mercedes and Santana on stage, then it could have been like the Donna and the Dynamos. :csad:

At least two of my straight male friends and my very straight brother loved Friends when it was on.

I love it, and I hate most laugh track sitcoms, especially Everybody Loves Raymond.

I'm straight and I like Friends. I still catch re-runs on TV whenever I can.

The only people I know that like that show are gay or women. Every straight male friend I know HATES that show.

I guess I'm the exception to the rule.

Then again, i'm a regular poster in this thread, so that should really come as no surprise...

I guess not.

Different life situations and stuff I guess. I'm in a college town, and no one here can relate to the show at all, except for maybe the New Jersey people on campus, but I don't associate with their kind. :o

Kurt's scene with Blaine in the hallway after running out of prom was one of Colfer's all-time best acting moments.

Quinn delivered quite the *****-slap.

Finn is such a self-righteous hypocritcal jackass.

I liked how angry Figgins was when he saw the name of the Prom Queen. He knew exactly what it was. Although under the circumstances, it might have been better if he hadn't read it.

Kurt's last wish granted: "Why can't I slow dance at my prom?"

Felt kind of bad for Artie, although it was nice to see a romantic serenade that doesn't work.

Felt sorry for Karofsky.

Loved Blaine's "Excuse me? Can I have this dance?" This episode really brought across the sense of Kurt and Blaine having a genuine emotional connection, IMO.

I also like that Burt occasionally calls Kurt out on his deliberate attempts to be provocative.

The kilt. Only Kurt.

lol @ Lauren's "I look like a lemon meringue pie".

I haven't seen the episode yet but how was the Friday number? Was it horrible or did they make the song awesome?

I thought it was entertaining in a "we know this is totally cheesy but we're having fun" kind of way.

I thought Brittany's reaction at the end was exactly how she would react to that song.

I liked her confusion about the egg.:awesome:

Pucks face said it all.

HAHAHA! I didn't even catch that part. The whole performance was stupid fun. Emphasis on the stupid. But Friday would be a song that is played at Proms this year. Kids are going to want the most popular songs, and people might hate "Friday", but that hate has made it popular. I wanna bet that the performed Born This Way as well at some point at the prom.

ehrm... i know alot of straight boys and girls that like friends...:huh:

Felt sorry for Karofsky.

im still thinking this season's death is gonna be Karofsky... he's either going to be a plot device to raise gay/teen/suicide awareness or come out. I see the former happening more so though.

I think I read that the death is supposed to be a female character.

^^Probably Terri.

Pretty good episode. They've done a great job of making Quinn and Finn unlikable. I didn't feel bad for either one, though I do agree with Finn that Jesse St. James a total POS, but I really don't care if he and Rachel end up together or not. Most of the romantic stuff on this show leaves me going....

But I liked the stuff with Sue and Artie, the diva singing at the end and how they handled Kurt's storyline. Very well done. Not a fan of any of the songs per se....but, eh.

P.S. Line of the episode: What kind of POW are you? John McCain would be ROLLING OVER IN HIS GRAVE!

P.P.S. I was right, their Friday was too serious and didn't have a patch on what Fallon, Colbert and co. did last month. Still I loved they admitted it was bad when Brittany said BEST SONG EVER! before the commercial break. Still a mistake to cover though, in my opinion.
