Glee Episode V: The Sylvester Strikes Back

She sings once ever 12 episodes, and the last two limes she's sung, she never even made it to the chorus.

Yet we have to hear Sunshine Borizone?

If I was Jenna, I would be flipping out on the writers.

Like, on a daily basis.

Well, she has a soul, unlike Lea Michele.

That will get her nowhere. :o

Anyway... From TV Line:
Question: Please tell me these rumors of a Glee death during May Sweeps aren’t true! –Eric

Ausiello: Rumors of a Glee death aren’t true. Glee DEATHS on the other hand? That’s totally happening. Sources confirm to me exclusively that this season’s penultimate episode, which bears the ominous title “Funeral,” is about the death of several things. One being a beloved character. The other being a major couple.

Again with this, Ausiello?

''Episode about neglect artists and characters?"

Ryan Murphy: Cut into the most neglected character on the show's solo before she reaches chorus! BRILLIANCE!

I just hope it's Sam. :atp:

I heard a rumor it's
Becky

:csad:

I'm tired of the Tina neglect.

Less Finn/Rachel

More Tina/Mike

I mean, Mercedes has zero storyline, but at least she gets to sing every other episode.

For a show about being a loser, they sure as hell keep the pretty people in the forefront.

Mike's dancing was the best part of the episode.

I would've appreciated it more if it wasn't paired with a song that made me want to cut my ears off.

I'm sorry, but are we really surprised by this? This has been the show's #1 problem from the beginning.

The show's was originally about kids that other people think of as losers finding their place in the world. That lasted about one episode: then it started to focus increasingly on just the cast members who are thin and pretty: Quinn, Rachel, Finn, Santana, Sam, Puck. Brittany for gods sake has now had more screen time on the show than Tina has (I like Brittany, but it's like if on the Simpsons Ralph Wiggum gradually became a more central character than Lisa).

What really makes my blood boil, moreso than even the homophobic bullying, is when I hear somebody like Quinn whine about how unpopular and persecuted she feels. Yeah right, I'm sure girls who look like Dianne Agron are the least popular girls at their school.

Ryan Murphy has said that he was actually popular and well-liked in highschool. I believe him, because his show shows no depth, intelligence or self-awareness when it tries to get "serious" about bullying and self-esteem issues.

I liked the talk between Will and Emma, and the one in the car between Mercedes and Rachel, and the idea of Kurt, Blaine, and Santana forming into some kind of gay Justice League.

Otherwise, very underwhelming episode that wasn't worth the wait.

I mean the show is literally about a bunch of jocks and cheerleaders acting like the world is so cruel to them...

There are only 3 reasons I watch this show now: Sue Sylvester, Mike Chang and the musical numbers. The rest of this show has become so much sanctimonious, patronizing trash: to be honest, I'm not even a big fan of the anti-homophobia storyline.

I don't see why people think he's talented. Oh look! I'm a smelly, blond hippie surfer dude singing about feet and tar balls. Ugh, you can play an acoustic guitar, so can half the guys on my college campus.

Regardless, the rest of that is still true. :o

So glad next week looks epic!

I watch it for Kurt.

I agree a lot of this episode was sanctimonious and patronizing.

It looks good... extending it an extra half hour seems a little excessive, though.

God Almighty.....

Well.... you're all very welcome.:up:

I seriously cannot stop.

I cant believe I'm about to say this, but I think she just edged out Naya in my eyes. :hrt:

Well, in all honesty, Dianna Agron was unpopular in school. There are plenty of beautiful people in Hollywood who had a rough school life. Personalities can reflect alot on your popularity.

However, with Quinn? Yeah. I don't get it. She's literally a stereotypical blonde cheerleader from inside and out.

Dianna Agron was unpopular? With that gorgeous face? I don't believe it.

Anyway, last night's episode kind of sucked. I was very disappointed. After a month of no new Glees and the anticipated return of Holly Holiday....that was a bore. It just wasn't funny, the songs were mostly boring and it was just blah. Oh well.

And absolutely no explanation as to why Vocal Adrenaline will be at Nationals.
