I just think she's a girl with alot of feelings and a ***** because of it. I think what makes her tick was explicitly stated when she said the reason she's the way she is because she's struggling with her sexuality.

Not because she was fricking raped. Sweet mother of Jesus.

It just seems like a bit of a leap to say that those are the only two possible reasons that she acts the way she does.

im just saying, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if she had an uncle who at some point touched her when she was younger (hell you know some character is gonna deal with sexual abuse at some point of this series), But statistically speaking the abused becomes the abuser. I don't think it's as simple as her sexuality being the only key issue is all. She doesnt feel loved thus in return, hates everyone else. In fact... the only person she seems to have ever cared for is Brittany, who in return... rejects those same feelings.

If I had to psychologically analyze Santana, I think it's clear she doesn't have enough love at home (thus why her parents don't seem to worry why she's sleeping over at boy's houses and seedy motels) and I would assume someone is belittling her at home, thus why she belittles others. This in turn makes he feel like she desperately needs to be loved (due to not getting what she feels she needs), thus not loving herself, thus inflicting that anger/hate onto those around her.

J.Lo as Santana's mom is like casting Christopher Reeves as Arties dad.

well they're not the only 2 reasons. But they wouldn't surprise me, and wouldn't be far-fetched imo... She most definitely has some mental abuse, I'd be shocked if she didn't have a form of that.

No idea if she has a singing background, but I kind of wanna see Gina Torres for Santana's mom.

As much as I love Gina, that's even worse than J.Lo.

Also a character has DEALT with sexual abuse on this show. Hello, Kurt Hummel. Looking right at you. Exactly what Karofsky did.

Billy, I hate you. :o

I don't think Santana was raped as a child, and I don't think Karofsky is going to commit suicide. It's already out there that the death in the next episode is female.

It's Glee, not Law and Order SVU.

Yeah, I dont think Karofsky's going to try to kill himself either.

for a show that's full of cliches i think it's fine. in-fact... it makes most sense for what makes her who she is. For someone to act like Santana... either she has a cougar mother, or was raped as a child. Quite possibly both.

Or she just comes from a family where she gets what she wants. Cordelia Chase was basically the Santana of her day minus the being a lesbian and singing and the only dysfunctial thing about her family is that her dad lied on his taxes to keep the family rich. Its just in her genetic makeup to be the way she is. Not everyone is born sweet and nice.

Most of the characters on Glee have a very basic reason that motivates a lot of their actions, that is explicitly stated.

Will is afraid of never living out his dreams and ending up like his parents (or April Rhodes).

Emma has OCD from a childhood incident.

Santana is *****y so much because she's afraid of her own feelings for Brittany and the fact that she's probably a lesbian.

Rachel was alternately spoiled by her dads and is unpopular at school, and doesn't want to end high school without some grand accompishment to show for it. Her diva-ness is probably a combination of being spoiled rotten, and a shield against her insecurities.

Kurt is a little bit like Rachel, as far as the "diva as a defense mechanism", and he's probably also spoiled by Burt (which is understandable on Burt's part, as he lost his wife and Kurt is all he has). His comment to Blaine about having to scream to get noticed is probably also telling. He dresses outrageously and plays the diva because, like Rachel, he thinks it's better than just being outright ignored, and also as a "hate on me, haters", kind of middle finger.

Sue was ****ed up by her mother, who usually wasn't around, and when she was, only ran Sue down and bullied her.

Quinn has insecurities about her "Lucy Caboosy" past and has gone through a teen pregnancy, giving away her baby, and being kicked out by her father, and defends her status and popularity so obsessively because she feels like it's the only thing she can hold onto. However, this isn't going to last past high school, and that leaves her terrified of the future (and also determined to be the reigning Queen for as long as she can in the here and now).

Blaine tries to be picture-perfect in every way, handsome, well-mannered, suave, charming, popular, inoffensive, etc. probably as his own defense mechanism from his background of being bullied. He comes across as almost a little too calm and collected, probably a little repressed. Dalton is probably the first place he found where he felt safe, hence his reluctance to "rock the boat" and go against its conformist atmosphere.

meh, imo thats a whole different kind of sexual abuse. being tormented for being something you are, vs having someone physically inflict a sexual desire upon you (and no... the kiss doesnt count)

and how often are the glee rumors true? I think the only one i can think of is that Kurt was getting a boyfriend this season. Otherwise... they've all failed. Hell just a week or 2 ago it was spoiled that Quinn became prom queen via photo.. and that didn't happen. Someone probably does die... but im not putting all my eggs in one basket that it's only a female.

Rolled my eyes the second Finn chimed in, but overall I liked it.

Aww. There's a lot of Finn hate going around. I don't hate him. Although I wish he would make up his mind about Quinn or Rachel and just stick with the decision.

I hate Finn and his voice(only liked his singing in maybe 2 songs total), but Pure Imagination was beautiful, and close to what I expected of Glee.

Cory's voice is fine. I'm glad they scaled back the number of songs he does.

I like his voice quite a lot; he's improved tremendously over the course of the show, and now that they've stopped insisting he sing everything he's not doing a bunch of songs that aren't suited to him like he was in a lot of season one. His vocals in season two have been consistently good.

I think they've done a better job at giving each cast member songs their voices are better suited for this season. Monteith got annoying during season 1, but the better song selection this season makes him seem much better.

I don't hate Finn (obviously) but he definitely needs to make up his mind about Rachel and Quinn.

I'm over my Finn hate. For the same reason Manic listed. He's been singing songs that actually suit his voice, and that's made him less annoying. Also, having everyone constantly pick on his body had helped a lot too.
