March 22. About 10 months to go.

Trailer's most likely coming at Comic Con, like Skull Island beforehand.

That is a teaser.

I think it will be more than a teaser but less than a full trailer.

We'll get the first proper "Trailer" Novish, then the final one late Jan early feb

THE REAL QUESTION IS THIS:

When will get to see the new designs for Mothra, Rodan and KG?

We already know what I look like so no need to hide me.

Vision, you know a teaser trailer is still a trailer, right? Either way, first piece of footage we'll get from the film.

Well yeah, if you put it that way.

We didn't see Kong in the comic-con trailer though. Hopefully we get a good look at the monsters with the Zilla' teaser.

Michael tweeted the weather forecast today:

A hurricane with a dash of King Ghidorah? Yes please.

Maybe KG will do us all a favor and drain the swamp since he seems to be attacking DC

Nah, too soon for that. Maybe a logo or a teaser poster.

We'll probably get a first look trailer at SDCC, with a teaser attached to The Meg at around the same time. They're both giant monster movies distributed by WB so it would be a solid opportunity for them to attach the Godzilla trailer to it.

Oh great, now I'm doubtful we'll get anything at Comic Con. Probably gonna get the first trailer in December too.

This is ending up to be be one helluva a post-production because didn't principle filming end like 6 months ago?

Yep. No clue why they delayed it again, but on second thought, this is WB. They've been making questionable decisions for quite a few years now.

Edit: Apparently it's because they added it to the previous release date of Walhberg's "Six Billion Dollar Man" flick. Not production related thankfully, but makes no goddamn sense.

They stated the reason why right in the press release Blitzkrieg posted. Six Million Dollar Man wasn't going to be ready, so WB pushed Godzilla so they would still have an event movie in the summer. Yeah, it sucks, but it wasn't delayed because production was behind or anything. On the bright side, now they have a bit more time to polish it. But I still see no reason for them to keep anything hidden at Comic Con. We could still see the first footage then. WB previewed Suicide Squad footage more than a year in advance at Comic Con, so it's never too early for them.

Question is, would they release said footage/trailer online? They probably will, but I'm currently feeling pessimistic enough to assume otherwise.

After checking out a list of the other 2019 slated releases:

1. WB wanted an event movie, but they currently have the Minecraft movie slated for release the week before, on May 24th. I'm guessing that one may get delayed too since we know next to nothing about it, but why would WB compete with themselves like that if it keeps that date? They'd only be released a week apart. Even Disney spreads their releases out by at least 3 weeks regardless of the genre, whether it be a Marvel or Star Wars movie.

2. The new release date is only a week after Disney releases Aladdin, which might hurt Godzilla more than Captain Marvel would have in its third weekend on its old date. Aladdin has the nostalgia behind it which could propel it to be a massive hit.

3. Why didn't they push Shazam back if they wanted an event film in May, since that only just wrapped filming, unlike Godzilla?

As a die-hard Godzilla fan I'm probably the only one happy about this. Why? Because first off Godzilla is a SUMMER BLOCKBUSTER type franchise. It's the kind of movie that belongs in the summer. March was a terrible release date. Look at what happened to Pacific Rim Uprising. More people will see this in the summer than in March.

Coming out almost a month after Avengers 4 is better than 2 weeks after Captain Marvel. You know that itll be as hyped as Black Panther since it's the first female led Marvel movie because diversity and stuff.

As long as it's a good movie it'll do fine at the BO. Look at how much competition is in this summer alone.

Just my thoughts. It sucks having to wait 2 more months but itll be worth it

I think it works better as a summer release too, but the comparison to Pacific Rim Uprising is insignificant. The real comparison would be to Kong: Skull Island, which did fine in March and probably would have done better stateside if not for Beauty and the Beast dropping a week later. Regardless, it is what it is now but a two month delay is really nothing in the grand scheme of things.
