Yeah, jeez, it's not like it's Detroit.

What's everyone opinion about kids being in these games? I often come across people that seem obsessed with kids being in for almost no reason other than to be "more realistic". What exactly would be the point of having them? What would they add?

This would only just add some more unwanted publicity for Rockstar with Jack Thompson opening his big mouth. I mean Bully had a lot of controversy and that game was rated T and you didn't even kill people.

Well there won't be any kids in this game nor will there ever be in any GTA at least that's what R* policy is.

I honestly don't know what to say with regards to people who aren't satisfied unless there are kids in the game? If they want a "more realistic" game than you should also have your character spend many years in jail when they are caught at any point.

Yeah, I feel like killing kids is more than a little extreme, even for GTA. Popping kids' balloons and making them cry like in the "Spider-Man 2" game, now that's a different story.

Don't be fooled, that publicity might not be entirely unwanted. Sure it might spread some stupidity, but it's also great free advertising. Like Eminem, he'd be nowhere near as successful as he is now if any 'rights group' with an axe to grind hadn't come after him with torches and pitch forks. A little controversy can be very, very good for the bank.

As to having kids in games, I don't think it's needed. I can't say I've ever 'missed' having children in games, it never seems like there's something out of place or absent. They're just off at school or in their houses or anywhere but the kind of places your average GTA protagonist usually hangs out. My general feeling is that adding NPC children wouldn't really add anything worthwhile, so why bother.

HA! :D I remember that, the second I read your comment the pop sound and subsequent crying noise echoed through my brain. Hilarious.

So I've been debating whether I was going to buy this at release or wait a while since I haven't had much free time to play games in months, but after seeing some of the last few videos, I'm definitely pre-ordering this. For most other games, I'm waiting for some Black Friday deals, but this game looks too good to pass up, even if I won't have much time to play it.

But I'm definitely not telling my brother that I got it because I know his son is going to want to borrow it, seeing as how he still has my copy of GTA IV somewhere in their house.

"My ballooooooooooooon!"
:hehe:

Holy crap I just realized it was Sept. this game is soooo close!!!

I feel like Cartman when he was waiting for his Wii

Damn i cant wait to cruise around and browse these stations.

It's sad when video game radio stations are better than real life radio stations.

I'm going to preorder GTA V on Thursday evening. Exciting times!

People still listen to radio stations?
I only listen to real radio stations once every 4-6 months because after listening to the radio for one day, or one weekend, you've pretty much heard all of the songs that are going to be played during that period. After a week, a lot of songs get to the point where they get played out.

I'm going to wait until I get paid next Thursday because I'm going to order it from Amazon and I need to renew my Prime membership so I can get it the same day.

Something tells me the radio station I'll be listening to will depend on which character I'll be playing as. I can definitely see myself listening to Rebel Radio while causing all kinds of chaos in the desert as Trevor, or blasting West Coast Classics while driving around downtown Los Santos as Franklin.

I'm basically in the same boat. I'd have preordered it months ago if I'd had the money to do so. The local EB Games are doing a midnight launch, so here's hoping I won't have work the next day.

Flying Lotus has his own radio station!!!
